Lovely Ludwig van never even heard this played in full. By the time he finished writing it, he was entirely deaf. It beggars belief that a man who couldn't hear could write such an elaborate and beautiful piece of music. Makes me sad to think that Auto-Tuned assholes like Kanye West and Lady Gaga are considered "musical geniuses" by people who have never heard the glorious 9th.

As I am getting older, I am becoming more appreciative of classical music. This was the Beatles, Michael Jackson, hip hop, Jazz of that generation. Young girls were drooling over the music of Beethoven. Guys wanted to be Beethoven. It is a tragedy how modern young people completely block off classical music because it is old. That is no way in judging music. Music is expression, for all I know, Beethoven exists still in his music. And shit, its not that hard to understand, you feel the music.
