  • It's too bad none of these people receive any money/aid unless they convert to Catholicism...

  • @dk549100 Why did you start by saying you like all people? Did your mother use condom when she had you. You mother like sex without condom, why should that privilege be only for your mother. You are not God, so you can’t tell people what to do with their sex life. Just don’t sponsor if you don`t feel sympathetic.

  • I love World Vision. I started sponsoring a child every time I got a pay raise years ago and this year the first child I sponsored, their program is completed. I have received regular progress reports and have seen the difference a small bit of money makes. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the programs do as well as this one.

  • iv been wating to go to africa an other countries were theres just not enouh for a very long tim but seeming im only 15 its hard but eversince i got nto high school i dothe 40 hour famne this year im going with out food, bathing, shoes, furniture, and electricity. m my best friend and afew others rdoing it but me an mfriend are going to hold thing at our school ad we could rase 4000 ea plus mone we get fromother sponsers then we are going to sponser achild between use

  • I'm currently sponsoring girl in Jerusalem, it costs almost nothing to change the life of a child and it gives yourself a piece of mind every day to know your changing the life of someone less fortunate for the better.

If you want to take it up a level, go to your nearest World Vision center and volunteer to gather sponsors for other children if you really want to make a difference!

  • Yes , this is so true. The child that I sponsor did send me pic of him and postcards with drawings and if I'm not wrong you also can volunteer in those country so I trust this organization.

  • I'm from Africa and I'm so tired of these World Vision Video propaganda.

What kind of support are they providing to poor people? After so many years of help and sponsorship, what's the result, what's the strategy?

African people don't need to be feed like animal.

What Africa need is, developed country to stop corrupting politicians, sponsoring wars, selling weapons.

  • Its a terrible situation, and I do believe that anyone that can help should, but I also am not sure if feeding money to a situation that doesn't seem to end is the right choice. "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day, show a man how to fish, he eats for a life time". Its sad though how it always seems that money is their only hope.

  • If you explore the World Vision website, youll discover that their organization does more than just feed the hungry (a noble undertaking itself). Their goal is to help families and communities become stable enough to sustain themselves. Victims of war and natural disasters such as earthquakes, and drought, these children and communities need help in the form of medicine, education, water sanitation, clothing, agriculture training and yes, food.

World Vision does all of that and then some. =)

  • @SpecialAgentKennedy not being dumb but what i sanitation

  • what can u really do? i mean sure u can give 10 bucks a month or a day but is that really alot? i mean we can give more we can do more! and ok u can give one of these kids shoes or close but is that really going to help? we can do better give these kids a life give these kid hope giveing them 10 DOLLARS come on SHOES they can live with out that! they need homes food u cant get that for ten bucks .now would u rather have shoes or close than a house?

  • this outfit is owned and operated by the catholic church,, so are ALL the other organizations which take monies that are suppose to help the poor.. they hold the rights to do so.. so what do you expect, the church to actually give!! they use the poor so as to profit, like everything else they do...

  • Even though I am not from NZ, I have thought about what is happening to the kids in different countries.

World Vision is still looking for more people around the world to sponsor a child. I would like to see more people who have to much stuff in there home to think about what they should do to help these kids in different countries. most of the kids die at the age of teens. I know that we could help them in so many ways that I would do anything for any one of those kids if I had to. help them.

  • i am extremely appauled at those last 2 comments

every person has the right to produce their own families, it is something that no one can take away from some1

you people are extremely heartless and it is because of people like you why there is people starving dying of disease

  • actually I think they make a good point, Perhaps a good way to stop starvation is to limit the population.

  • I always really want to donate and help... one time i heard that lots of these organizations lie and just take the money.. and then no one is helped... T_T how can we ensure that we are able to help the children directly?

  • I kinda agree with emundo99.. I dont like how he phrased it but those ppl know what its like to live in a place like that so why bring an innocent child into the world only to have it starve and suffer...its not right...they should be bringing birth control to places like that before anything else...they always say get a pet spayed and neutered so theres less pets being born getting neglected or abused ...it definitely should be the same for ppl in poor countries I think....its unfortunate tho!

  • edmundos99 you are a heartless person! you seem like one of those rich snobs that doesnt care about anyone but yourself! start helping out those in need!

  • its becuase of arrogant and selfish people like u edmundos99 that theres people nto getting a enough food and water and dying of diseases.

  • people say, you can't help. there will always be poverty. True, but you can help ONE kid. SAVE ONE kids life. it's amazing. If you say thats not important, picture one of your family members, to die.

  • World Vision is a great program. we have sponsored a child in Mozambique,a child in Lebanon, and 2 children in India.

And whenever christian concerts come to town me and my friends from school volunteer at the info table for World Vision.

  • This has been going on as long as at least more than 30 years.

i mean we were shown poor starvin' African kids on special TV show which took place once a year next at least 20 years ,and my parents donated $300 US dollars.

    Why is this continuing ??

On World Vision Tv Ad,they say without help from people, every single day 17000 african kids die.

    Hard to believe.

My instinct tells me something very wrong.

    Something not right.

By the way what's the salary of CEO world vision like ?

  • I don't know what u bitching about!!! I have no problem give salary of CEO of world vision if she doing good thing for the world!

The world is tooo.....big, to many people are suffering! 30 years can make everyone no more suffer?!

U should shut up and do more good thing for those children. Also, cooperation need money to run, need hire people. Use your brain to think before bull shit!

  • Dude! I agree with him. NGO's are supposed to be 'volunteer' organisations. That means they don't make a profit. I understand that they need money for costs, but that doesn't mean that they can make heaps of money out of doing that. CEO's end up get over $100,000 per anum minimum. Earning money is not a bad thing, but making money out of poverty strucken people is completely wrong. You should stop blindly following what you hear and start using your brain!

  • is this the one that cece winans sponsors

  • how is it their fault? Did you know that some of the children in Africa have to take care of their own little brothers or sisters? Do you know how hard that is? You think its hard babysitting? Well amagine how it feels to be them. Amagine you had to take care of your brother or sister and you lived in Africa.I dont think its their fault its are own fault some people have the money but just don't help them like Paris Hilton.

  • you don't exactly know what your talking about lol im not a Paris fan but i do know that her father has a business in building wells over in impoverished countries, he pays for it all, soooooooo some rich people do help, but your right in saying most dont, thats why we need to :) its only the price of 2 coffees a week, or subway once a week, next to nothing so anyone can sponsor a child, we dont really have an excuse!! just above a dollar a day!! thats parking meter money!! or a life!!

  • I dont think we as humans can be so cruel or judgemental. It first comes down to the various corrupt governments in Africa.

  • i didnt know there were such awful people in this world

  • shut your mouth you stupid big headed man!

How can you think that? have YOU ever thought that there is not the resources for them to grow food in the "black countries" as you put it??

It's not their fault there isn't enough nutritions in the ground to grow food and if theres no food they can feed animals so no meat.think about that!

  • Maybe you should look into international trade policies and systems of governance.

Consumption of goods in the developed world, (that's "the white countries") provides incentives for corporate groups to push for foreign trade policies that in effect amount to slavery.

Perhaps you might consider taking time out from mindlessly watching videos to learn a little about the world in which you live??

  • I totally agree with casper771 and xarukaranox. Don't be such a racist asshole mindlessy watching videos. Don't you understand that it has nothing to do with colour?!

It's people like you who corrupt our world. Mindless, useless retards that sit at home and do nothing but insult people who may be making mistakes, but you know what its not like your doing anything about it either.

  • very sad

  • I`m sorry for my judgement! But I dont know if I can trust this organization! If this is the true I`m very happy. Today in the world we only hear about corruption and is hard sometimes to try to help someone because we can not make 100% sure if that kid really will get the benefit!**

  • Hi...I can vouch for WV..I do alot of volunteer work for them and have been there and seen ...what they say is ALL true. Yes, there is alot of corruption etc in the world of charities...but don't take my word for it...do your homework on World Vision for yourself and then help a child!!!!! I sponsor 3 children and it is amazing to see how they have grown and changed since sponsorship.

  • I agree with search4ever. WV is an awesome organization! I sponsor a little boy from Kenya though them and it is so wonder full to see the difference my measly $35 a month makes! If you could see his picture I got when I first started sponsorship and the most recent one I got... I think you would be convinced! but like Serch4ever said "don't take my word for it...do your homework on World Vision for yourself and then help a child!!!"

  • Im kind of with you on that, but it all goes down to the character and moral of people. Considering how much good I hear about WV Im really truly starting to think that the money does go to a good cause.

  • Awesome. I sponsor a child in Zambia with World Vision. If what she says is true I'm excited about what my money is already doing.
