I kinda hope they fill in the time period after Haman's Neo Zeon movement to Char's and explain what Char really did and what made take such a drastic stance aside from wanting to fight Amuro.I have seen most if not all of the UC saga except Victory Gundam, still trying to get that one and I am going to ignore G Savior that looks like crap.
Many don't like Victory, but I personally really liked it. The bloodiest UC Gundam show despite the presence of many kids and the protagonist being the youngest in any Gundam series so far. Good actions scenes too. Also appropriate ending for the chronologically last story set in Universal Century. Anyways, I wish to see some feature that fill the gap between ZZ and CCA, and I also want Crossbone Gundam produced for proper animated ending to the story started in F91 movie.
Oh, and everyone says you miss nothing at all by NOT watching G-Saviour. As far as I know, it is officially part of Universal Century history, with the story taking place in U.C. 0223 (which really doesn't make sense cuz apparently technologies in the movie are mostly too OYW-esque), but I say there is nothing wrong with considering it as unofficial bad fanfiction.
@extraleague01 Which is what it is a really bad fan fiction. G Savior was pure grade garbage that just used devolved OYW esque suits. I say make an anime that fills the gap between Zeta and Char's Counterattack and in between ZZ Gundam, to explain what Char was doing and what exactly happened with Mineva Zabi. Then Redo F91 as either a movie trilogy or a full length TV series, and go with Crossbone Gundam.
While the inbetween ZZ-CCA story could be possible, the remake of Formula Wars story (well, without F90 and Shilouette F91 stories) would be very unlikely. Rather a Crossbone Gundam OVA series is more likely, which I would still be very happy.
@extraleague01 More like you could add those but I have no real idea how it would affect cannon. Gundam F91 was meant to be a a full length 52 episodes show. but they had problems and took the 13 episodes they had and made it into F91 Gundam movie. What I meant to say was expand the story and retell it in the manner in which it was going to be told.
Yeah, too bad that didn't happen. Which is why Tomino wrote the Crossbone Gundam manga to finish the story he started (which seems to be a tendency for him, as he also rewrote stories for shows that got cancelled like First Gundam and Ideon). Personally, I would be satisfied with Crossbone Gundam animated.
I'm up for that. Char's Deleted Affair manga that described the events between OYW and Gryps Conflict was quite interesting (though I haven't finished it). If someone could write an engaging story of Char during his 'hiatus' bewteen Gryps Conflict and CCA, an OVA series would be awesome.
@extraleague01 Yeah it would probably have to explain what lead to both his stance in CCA, probably resolve the conflict with Haman and probably explain for how long Mineva was hidden. Then the creation of the sleeves and Full Frontal (that last part if the thing they stray from is the origin of FF)
There is a video on youtube, which is Char's animated ending in PS1 Z Gudam game, that shows Char actually coming out of wrecked Hyaku Shiki and monologuing probably about the need for stronger actions to teach Earthnoids a lesson, and later two bodyguards bringing a girl (probably the real Mineva who got saved from being used by Haman) to Char, before ending with Char appearing before his subjects as the leader of his own Neo Zeon. That video could be a start for the story.
@extraleague01 That would be an excellent start to it, I think the OVA could be 0083 length with 13-14 episodes or much shorter with Gundam Unicorn with 6 hour long episodes.
In terms of the MS, the really special thing about the MS of UC 0096, especially unicorn, is that they know their timeline. 3 years after CCA, and they use highly advanced newtype gundams thanks to sazabi and nu. Not only that, but Unicorn does not go god-tier on the history, but uses technology and weapons which will evantually be used for the future of UC. (EX. In episode 3, Unicorn in Nt-D used what looks like the after-image famous for the F91, the next story after unicorn.) God, I love it!
@StardustExia01 You seem to be very well educated on this ^_^
Do you mind providing the the timeline on the Gundam Series that I need to watch in order? I want to educate myself on the history of Gundam. Message me or comment on it please thanks.
@WingChroniam Mobile Suit Gundam (OVAs like "War in the Pocket" parallel) Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Mobile Suit Gundam F91 Mobile Suit Victory Gundam
That is the main Series and movies in the Universal Century timeline. There are some other timelines like Anno Domini for Gundam 00 or Cosmic Era for SEED
@PaceBreaker23 G-Savior is not Drawn? thats kind of lame. And hey I heard that ZZ sucked according to my friend as if it was a Joke. Just as G-Gundam to me was like a JOKE!
OMG BURNING FINGERS! OH SHIT! THE FINGERS! WHAT SHALL I EVER DO TO ESCAPE! sigh...
@WingChroniam well ZZ was ok, not the best but it did do a good job of finishing off the story of Hamman Karn, but other than that it was nothing special. But it doesn't even come close to G-Saviour, I'd rather not have another gundam fan tainted by that movie but if you really want to see how bad it is you can watch it, but you have been warned! Plus it doesn't even fit in with the Universal Century timeline properly, but you'll probably catch that if you've watched Zeta to F91.
@WingChroniam I'm pretty sure G-Gundam was meant to be a parody on Mecha staples at the time, it wasn't really meant to be taken absolutely serious, at least I didn't.
As for ZZ, I can understand what your saying, but I actally found it kind of amusing.
G-Savior...Ok, a bunch of Candians doing a Gundam movie in english and then having it dubed over in Japanese. I like it as a B-flick but NOT a Gundam movie *God the CGI sucked*
@WingChroniam Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny have the same basic idea as the other Gundam series, but instead of following the Newtype principle, they used genetically modified people called Coordinators as what would act as the Principality of Zeon. I don't know if you've seen them, but they are fairly good. I enjoyed SEED more than SEED Destiny because the conflict was a bit more unique, but SEED Destiny is good for an amazing soundtrack. :) Thanks for posting these by the way! I love it!
Personally, the first half of SEED was a rather bland remake of first MSG series, but the second half was very entertaining with its original storylines. SEED Destiny had a great start up to ep. 18 or so, but then things crumbled into a unholy mess afterwards. I did sense that there were some problems during productions and storywriting, like some people suggested. Maybe a conflict between the staff and the studio.
@extraleague01 Totally agreed. I liked the first season, SEED, very very much. But SEED Destiny was like the worst gundam season I've watched. By far. Though, the whole SEED series were not that good, now that I think about it... At least not as good as MSG, Zeta, Char's Counterattack, Gundam Wing...
Also I gotta say I loved 00 & Unicorn the most out of all Gundam series. The stories of both were really interesting and well-made.
@WingChroniam Hey :P, give G-Saviour a chance. The idea's there, it's just not very well presented. The Game they made though is awesome! What the movie should have been.
Although people already this, and though about first 17 eps of ZZ and later few 5~6 eps are bad, the rest of the episodes are quite good and intense. Whatever people say it's canon. And Unicorn ep. 3 and 4 showed that you need some knowledged from ZZ to enjoy properly and understand some scenes.
@WingChroniam the first 18 or so episodes took a much lighthearted approach due to how Tomino likes to follow up a tragedy with a comedy, the tragedy being zeta, but after that point it becomes serious again and becomes one of my personal favorites.
@WingChroniam ZZ is definitely drastically different from Zeta's tone at the start, but it gets a little more serious towards the end. I can see why people hate it, but I don't think it was worse than 00. At least ZZ had character development and I personally liked the comedic tone.
But you need to watch ZZ to fully understand Marida Cruz in Unicorn.
The UC timeline goes in this order: MS Igloo, Gundam, 08 MS team, War in the pocket, Stardust Memory, Z, ZZ, Char's Counterattack, Unicorn, F91, and V. There are stories in between the anime which make a great deal to the history, such as Crossbone after F91. Ultimately, (but stupidly) all gundam universe timelines will end to Turn A, which destroys civilization as we know it. Most of UC is written and directed by Tomino, so expect the Kill'em-all sense.
@WingChroniam As for the other series, they exist in other universes, but the series comes in the following runnings: G, W, Endless Waltz, X,Turn A, Seed, Destiny, Stargazer, 00 S1+2, and for God's sake, SD Brave Battle Warriors. I suggest playing games which can help, such as GvsG or SD G generation World. As for novels, you'd have to find them yourself or read Gundam magazines each month. That's all I can say, but if you want, I'll say (in my opinion) the best series to watch in order.
@StardustExia01 Pardon me. I respect your feelings towards UC. But in terms of the after-images, you are incorrect. The after images on Gundam F91 is due to the metal peeling effect. The reason it works is because of the intense heat the suit lets off, that it must peel off its outer layer, leaving an image of itself As for Unicorn, do you remember when you were a child and you swung your glow sticks around? It is the same concept for Unicorn. The red trail is because of the speed of unicorn.
@ArcX8 Ah, I see. Sorry for showing off. lol I was just thinking of the reason why advanced ms like Angelo's Geara Zulu would lose target of the Unicorn when it is approaching. Like in physics, I learned about how light appears bluer if the source (Unicorn) is moving closer to the observer, but I guess psychoframes don't work that way. lol I guess the red psychoframes makes Unicorn go 3 times faster, much like Char's Zaku 2 and Trans-Am. XD
@StardustExia01 I am a simple freshmen so physics is beyond me. But indeed the idea of Char being 3x faster had gone around through every series. I never really saw the blue in Unicorn that you speak of. But I just wanted to point out that Unicorn never had After Images is all. Just a bright light lick a glowstick being thrown around. But yes Universal Century is my favorite as well for all the time line reasons that you stated ^^.
@MasterRed100 the Unicorn is rely a more advanced ver. of Nu(psycoframe is like 10x better) just w/out the fin funnels. Sinanju is a little more complex, as its preety much the advenced ver. of Sazabi, and also the prototype of the Unicorn ( in terms of the NT-D system)
I think Laplace is supposed to be a symbol, as we never really know what we're actually fighting for in war. No one knows what Laplace is, so no one knows what theyre fighting for. Sounds pretty similar to current reality.
@TheLastScythian The Laplace program is most likely a system which enables the further evolution of of newtypes. Seeing as Mr.Vist went on and on about newtypes, and the fact that most of the introduced main pilots are newtypes. It isnt just a symbol, if it were than the "technologicl" advantage it supplies is false, and would mean that Anahiem is somehow lightyears ahead of the EFSF and the remnant of Neo Zeon.
@Direwolf13PS3 Well the Laplace is a symbol that will prove that Zeon was right all along, but still the Unicorn Gundam seems to be a prototype of the Turn-A Gundam cause of all its power and its a pretty advanced unit though I wonder how anaheim came into possesion of this technology
@Direwolf13PS3 Well I didnt like that all the gundam series got together in one Gundam it didnt maked sense but still my point is on how advanced the Unicorn is and how did its development didnt lead to similar more powerful units
@lius68 The ReZel is a god-modded Delta gundam, the Banshee is a GAR gundam from the underworld, and the Unicorn is the most advanced due to the Laplace program, through it Anaheim was able to manufacture a BEYOND top-of-the-line unit. They could at best create a non-Laplace capable clone in the Banshee, and even then the predecessor of the Unicorn, is not something to sneeze at. Unicorn takes the unit's from the original series (as it is from the same timeline I.e. continuation) and improves...
@Direwolf13PS3 Well and what exactly is the Laplace program is it related to the box cause it wouldnt make sense if it s cause the box SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! holds a rock that says the right of every spacenoid
@WingChroniam Well not an exact prototype but you see many things from the Unicorn will appear later on on in the Turn-A like the I-Filed barrier protecting it from the colony laser and many other specifications
@lius68 The I-Field was found on the old Neue Ziel, also the Turn-A is from a seperate self-contained timeline. Also why compare the awesomeness of the Unicorn with the Aquaman-esk features of the Turn-A? Seriously its an ugly scrap pile, be done with it.
@sentaiaddict according to some ppl turn a is the eventual ending to all gundam series some how as in the turn a is the most powerful suit and has the power to destroy the world and allow it to restart anew
@WingChroniam What they decided to do was each gundam timeline was actually just a period of which humanity went from a dark age to technological advancement and back to dark age. However the problem with it being Turn A's prototype is the gundam F91 and victory, which I assume are more powerful, came afterward in the u.c. timeline. (Do not feel bad if you head just exploded.)
@lius68 I doubt that Unicorn is a prototype of the Turn A Gundam. If you'll remember, Turn A was a reverse-engineered "copy" of the Turn X series of mobile suits which were developed in another solar system by a presumably far more advanced race/group of people. By the time that series of events was unfolding, Unicorn Gundam would've been obsolete for decades, if not centuries. It's a rather interesting thought, regardless.
@KazukiriMishamiota Well that may be right but the Unicorn power is unparalleled
its beam rifle can be turned to fire a Colony Laser shot, it can lift a battleship from the Earth all the way to the atmosphere. It might not be a prototype but its power is tremendous, not any of the UC Gundams will come near its full potential
@lius68 I do agree with you. The Unicorn Gundam is hella powerful. And, in a side-by-side comparison, I think it knocks Turn A out of the water in all aspects (with the exception of Moonlight Butterfly, which pretty much pwns everything hands-down). That's actually why I called the people who built it "presumably far more advanced". It's pretty obvious that Turn A was designed with the technological capabilities of the nineties in mind whereas Unicorn was designed much more recently.
@lius68 Laplace box holds the original documents showing that the colonies have direct independence from the Earth...provided they do not attack Earth without probable cause...
@bubbydoll1 yeah I had already stated that on a previous comment but my real question is the Laplace Program, EFSF had such advanced technology but they by the time of F91 they couldnt create a Gundam as powerful as the Unicorn and it kept getting worst, their MS kept getting owned and I would be expecting them to have mass produced a Unicorn-like MS
@lius68 The EF had become complacent and weak due to the Government and people of Earth not paying attention to the events outside their own atmosphere
@lius68 They also sort of gave the Colonies more independence and left them mostly alone leaving them to fend for themselves, this led to the rise of factions like the Jupiter Empire in F91
@Spartanz1170 no, the Earth Federation still had control of the Jupiter colonies that is why the cloned old ass man who is the leader of the Jupiter Empire wanted to nuke the Earth.
@bubbydoll1 no dude, read the novel, the box is the monument created at the beginning of the UC century, the copy of the monument still exists but 1 thing is erased. it is about the future, it said if theres a newtype in the future, then he shall hav the priority to run the gov, which means at 1st moving ppl outta earth isnt abandoning them, but rather hope that they would evolve into newtypes and lead the ppl into a better future

the way i see it... turn A is like a princess who's bloodline enable her to summon sum great power or sum swesum.. nevertheless she's still weak
for Unicorn ... probably a powerful magic-knight ...
ipekatomang 1 year ago
@MasterRed100 the Unicorn is rely a more advanced ver. of Nu(psycoframe is like 10x better) just w/out the fin funnels. Sinanju is a little more complex, as its preety much the advenced ver. of Sazabi, and also the prototype of the Unicorn ( in terms of the NT-D system)

There is a site that states Unicorn is an Advanced Type of Amuro's Nu Gundam
Wonder if it's true? What do you all think?

Can anybody explain to me what Cardeas was talking about? The invisible power, newtype supremecy, time? There should be like Gundamology with this.
sentaiaddict 1 year ago
@sentaiaddict he was referring to the power of newtypes how they can understand each other how they are so powerful as MS pilots

I think Laplace is supposed to be a symbol, as we never really know what we're actually fighting for in war. No one knows what Laplace is, so no one knows what theyre fighting for. Sounds pretty similar to current reality.
TheLastScythian 1 year ago
@TheLastScythian The Laplace program is most likely a system which enables the further evolution of of newtypes. Seeing as Mr.Vist went on and on about newtypes, and the fact that most of the introduced main pilots are newtypes. It isnt just a symbol, if it were than the "technologicl" advantage it supplies is false, and would mean that Anahiem is somehow lightyears ahead of the EFSF and the remnant of Neo Zeon.
Direwolf13PS3 1 year ago
@Direwolf13PS3 You might want to read the novel.
ZGMFX20aS 1 year ago
@Direwolf13PS3 Well the Laplace is a symbol that will prove that Zeon was right all along, but still the Unicorn Gundam seems to be a prototype of the Turn-A Gundam cause of all its power and its a pretty advanced unit though I wonder how anaheim came into possesion of this technology
lius68 1 year ago
@lius68 Turn-A is a separate time-line in its own, Unicorn is by far cooler than that pile of scrap.
Direwolf13PS3 1 year ago
@Direwolf13PS3 Well I didnt like that all the gundam series got together in one Gundam it didnt maked sense but still my point is on how advanced the Unicorn is and how did its development didnt lead to similar more powerful units
lius68 1 year ago
@lius68 The ReZel is a god-modded Delta gundam, the Banshee is a GAR gundam from the underworld, and the Unicorn is the most advanced due to the Laplace program, through it Anaheim was able to manufacture a BEYOND top-of-the-line unit. They could at best create a non-Laplace capable clone in the Banshee, and even then the predecessor of the Unicorn, is not something to sneeze at. Unicorn takes the unit's from the original series (as it is from the same timeline I.e. continuation) and improves...
Direwolf13PS3 1 year ago
@Direwolf13PS3 Well and what exactly is the Laplace program is it related to the box cause it wouldnt make sense if it s cause the box SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! holds a rock that says the right of every spacenoid
lius68 1 year ago
@lius68 Wait what? prototype of the Turn-A!!!!??!?!?! How is that possible? Im pretty confused with this gundam timeline and Universe.
WingChroniam 1 year ago
@WingChroniam Well not an exact prototype but you see many things from the Unicorn will appear later on on in the Turn-A like the I-Filed barrier protecting it from the colony laser and many other specifications
lius68 1 year ago
@lius68 The I-Field was found on the old Neue Ziel, also the Turn-A is from a seperate self-contained timeline. Also why compare the awesomeness of the Unicorn with the Aquaman-esk features of the Turn-A? Seriously its an ugly scrap pile, be done with it.
Direwolf13PS3 1 year ago
@WingChroniam Well I've read that Turn-A gundam is like 3000 years after this.
sentaiaddict 1 year ago
@sentaiaddict according to some ppl turn a is the eventual ending to all gundam series some how as in the turn a is the most powerful suit and has the power to destroy the world and allow it to restart anew
CACF247 1 year ago
@WingChroniam What they decided to do was each gundam timeline was actually just a period of which humanity went from a dark age to technological advancement and back to dark age. However the problem with it being Turn A's prototype is the gundam F91 and victory, which I assume are more powerful, came afterward in the u.c. timeline. (Do not feel bad if you head just exploded.)
ndalum75 1 year ago
@lius68 I doubt that Unicorn is a prototype of the Turn A Gundam. If you'll remember, Turn A was a reverse-engineered "copy" of the Turn X series of mobile suits which were developed in another solar system by a presumably far more advanced race/group of people. By the time that series of events was unfolding, Unicorn Gundam would've been obsolete for decades, if not centuries. It's a rather interesting thought, regardless.
KazukiriMishamiota 1 year ago
@KazukiriMishamiota Well that may be right but the Unicorn power is unparalleled
its beam rifle can be turned to fire a Colony Laser shot, it can lift a battleship from the Earth all the way to the atmosphere. It might not be a prototype but its power is tremendous, not any of the UC Gundams will come near its full potential
lius68 1 year ago
@lius68 I do agree with you. The Unicorn Gundam is hella powerful. And, in a side-by-side comparison, I think it knocks Turn A out of the water in all aspects (with the exception of Moonlight Butterfly, which pretty much pwns everything hands-down). That's actually why I called the people who built it "presumably far more advanced". It's pretty obvious that Turn A was designed with the technological capabilities of the nineties in mind whereas Unicorn was designed much more recently.
KazukiriMishamiota 1 year ago
@lius68 turn-a gundam is from correct century and unicorn in from universal century, there is no connection between the 2
chris033094 1 year ago
@chris033094 yeah but correct century is set hundreds or thousands of years after universal century though i dont like the timeline thing of turn-a

@lius68 Laplace box holds the original documents showing that the colonies have direct independence from the Earth...provided they do not attack Earth without probable cause...
bubbydoll1 1 year ago
@bubbydoll1 yeah I had already stated that on a previous comment but my real question is the Laplace Program, EFSF had such advanced technology but they by the time of F91 they couldnt create a Gundam as powerful as the Unicorn and it kept getting worst, their MS kept getting owned and I would be expecting them to have mass produced a Unicorn-like MS
lius68 1 year ago
@lius68 The EF had become complacent and weak due to the Government and people of Earth not paying attention to the events outside their own atmosphere
Spartanz1170 1 year ago
@lius68 They also sort of gave the Colonies more independence and left them mostly alone leaving them to fend for themselves, this led to the rise of factions like the Jupiter Empire in F91
Spartanz1170 1 year ago
@Spartanz1170 no, the Earth Federation still had control of the Jupiter colonies that is why the cloned old ass man who is the leader of the Jupiter Empire wanted to nuke the Earth.

idiot00 11 months ago
@bubbydoll1 no dude, read the novel, the box is the monument created at the beginning of the UC century, the copy of the monument still exists but 1 thing is erased. it is about the future, it said if theres a newtype in the future, then he shall hav the priority to run the gov, which means at 1st moving ppl outta earth isnt abandoning them, but rather hope that they would evolve into newtypes and lead the ppl into a better future
