I know how you feel. My dog would've turned eleven this month, but some bacteria got on his skin that developed into scabby bumps all over his back. He was a basset hound, and he was put down just days after the bumps began appearing and he was gone all too fast. I saw mom drive off with him in the car and as I saw them both leave for the vet, it hit me almost too hard that that was going to be the las time I would ever see him alive.

I had her in my bed all the time when she was sick, I had her in my arms when she wanted to lay down.. She was my best friend in the whole world. No other dog, no other person could ever change that. you did the right thing. his sickness and passing was not your fault at all. putting him down was the best decision you ever could've made for him. he was unhappy and suffering. when you let him go, he was at peace, with god. I know it hurts to let your best friend go. I also have a dog (same age too). she's the world to me. just know scooby lived a good long life. I'm very sorry for your loss.

my dad moved to belfast and i had to get rid of my dog :'( it was three and we had it since it was a pup and i could take his dinner away and it would just lick me :'(
i have a wheaten terrier too, and she's the best. she's 10, so she's getting up there. i know the day we have to do that it's going to be one of the worst days of my life. dogs and puppies just have a way of tugging at your heartstrings.

We pit my dog down at 13 because his arthritis got so bad we had to carry him upstairs, you will know when your time is getting short. I also lost my best friend i ever had yesterday she was only 2 years old and i'm 17 i can't stop crying i don't want to believe it's true, i leave my room expecting to see her following me she was practically a daughter to me, since i have grown up with younger kids my whole life, i can't stop blaming myself i was at a friends house and was supposed to come home but decided to stay an extra hour and within that time she was hit by a car i feel like theres a gaping hole in my heart, Rip sparky.

@Irefulbellum I had a 7 month old Belgian Malinois that was hit by a car at night. My dad took him out for a walk and let him loose and a truck hit him...my dad was crying how sorry he was to me and so was I. The next morning I woke up and immediately went outside to see my dog lying on the grass. My dad had to put him in a bag and called for the body removal. The night before my dog died I looked into his eyes and the last thing I said was "I love you Jaguar" (his name) crazy things happen fast

I lost my dad when I was 8 and lost my grandfather last year. My dog, Mocha rescued me. I was a wreck miserable because father daughter days occured a lot in school. I was the only one sitting at my desk upset. My dog was there for me. She was like my dad but shes a girl...... you get my point. The night I had to give her away because we were moving she ran away. We pit my dog down at 13 because his arthritis got so bad we had to carry him upstairs, you will know when your time is getting short. The worst part is when they get older you begin to remember all the times you had and all the times you left them to hang out with friends in stead love your pouch he's old now, just love him

This video is so sweet but sad, it actually brought tears to my eyes. While reading this I could only think of how i felt the day before New Year's Eve when I had to put my Chloe down.Though I only had her for a year and a half (I got her for my Birthday) I felt like I had known her for my entire life. During surgery, the vets didn't watch the heating pad resulting in Chloe being cooked form the inside out. Over a course of 2 weeks, her skin detached from her skeleton.Chloe,I love u and miss u<3

I'm 14 and I had a dog named Rosie who was a jack russell manchester terrier, 10 yrs, she died from a sudden tumor this new years eve. She could barely move or breath the last couple of hours and I held her all through those 10 hours of pain, kissing her and telling her I loved her. @ilomeli1 I had a dream like that. My dog was 12, I was 16. I had a dream that I was coming home, and she was gone. I asked where she was, and my dad told me she had died. I started to cry but then woke up and knew (thankfully) it was just a dream. Ever since then I have not taken her for granted. Every day I come home from school knowing she just might not be there. But I'm thankful she's alive.

My Little Girl, Beauty Marie (a cocker Spaniel) died on 1-2-12 at 10pm in my home with us by her side. A tumor in her mouth went to her brain. She was looking at us and smiling. She meant everything to me. Beauty Marie (Maria Bonita) was named after my Mom. I cannot sleep. I saw Scooby's video and it consoled me. Consolances to YOU. this video is very familiar, my dog died yesterday, from a brain tumor. He was having a lot of seizures and decided ti would be the best thing rather then for him to live consistently on alot of medications and surgerys. He was 14, he died in my arms when they gave him the shot:( Im 15, so i have only lived one year of my life without him. Love you buddy<3
