I really like the Fender P-Bass, and of course this one in particlar; and do you think it could be a good idea to buy a standard P-Bass (540€) with Seymour Duncan micro (70€) and flat fillet strings (I already have it) to have the same sound (or not?) that the Steve Harris model?

mi permetto un piccolo consiglio: quando fai i power chords non fare solo la tonica e la sua 5a, aggiungici la sua 8va e fallo durare un po' di più, secondo me viene un suono più pieno e corposo :)

@jericho667 no non è un normalissimo precision dell'85 che viene dal giappone. assomiglia molto al duff mckagan signature perché il colore è quello e il manico dietro è nero, come la paletta, ma non ha il 3° pickup! per quanto riguarda l'unico video che ho messo purtroppo la webcam non fa miracoli e il suono viene una schifezza :D

Ciao,volevo chiederti come fai a produrre un suono così metallico sulle corde...so che bisogna sbattere le corde sulla tastiera,ma io faccio un suono metallico ma schifoso,nel senso che la nota e l'effetto sono diversi e non uniti come fai tu...Ma c'è qualche segreto,tipo suonare con la mano più lontana dalla tastiera?Oppure suonare con le dita più vicine alla corda?Ti prego svelami il trucco!!!

@MRniceguy765 è più semplice di quello che sembra: sai suonare di slap? stessa cosa, solo che lo fai con le due dita. se suona "male" il problema può essere il basso (se è il tuo primo basso immagino che sarà abbastanza economico, ovviamente meno costa e meno suona bene), l'ampli (stesso discorso) o il setting generale (per suonare così servono le corde basse sulla tastiera; e alza i bassi e gli alti sull'ampli). se riesci a postare è meglio, perché così posso solo tirare a indovinare... :)

@pirony el blanco es indudablemente mas comodo y - en mi opinión - saca el mejor sonido porque tiene pickup SPB3. el blanco es muy esplendente, però es muy difícil de tocar y las cuerdas son muy caras y difìcil de encontrar. creo que el blanco es muy conveniente, para el precio tambien!

Hot Tip:

Don't throw your strings out. Try getting a glass jar, fill it with Methylated spirits. tie your strings up, put them in jar for 24 hours. You'll have clean strings. You'll get about 3-4 more uses out of them. If you have two sets of strings, you can rotate them.
