  • Gorgeous is right. Even men can see that. We al wanted to be Elvis.

  • This is the best looking man that God ever created!! Lord he is gorgeous!!

  • What passion in his voice.

  • He touched my heart also. He still touches me today

  • Perfect, loving, eyes oh those eyes, power, what a voice, Elvis had it all

  • Wonderful, beautiful, sexy, amazing, great, handsome, kind, giving, I could go on and on about Elvis Presley. I think he was heaven sent.

  • The Best Presley Song Ever.....

  • only 22 and such a voice!!

  • The night is full of ghosts after this extraordinary rendition. I wonder did he ever realise the unconscious aching and yearning in his voice? We are truly blessed to have witnessed him. Thanks so much Jackie.

  • AMAZING, ELVIS THE ONE AND ONLY KING FOREVER! <3 ADORE! <3 LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG, one of my absolute favs! <3

  • that must be one of the hardest songs there is to sing,,,,Elvis sails thru it

  • Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful song...I've never heard this one before...but It is now one of my favs from the early years !!

  • He touch my heart when I was only a boy, still love him today all these years later, The King, will live forever1

  • I wish that i had lived the 50's. What a blessing it must of been to live and experience the birth of Rock'n'Roll. Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Etc Etc. If only things were as good now as they were then. If only.

  • ♥ if i had to listen to one song for the rest of my life this would be it ♥

  • Like

  • my fav elvis recording, it hypnotizes me and takes me right in. everything about it is perfect and i have always considered this the ultimate elvis. the way he sings it is incredible and i'm glad i didnt live and die b 4 elvis came along.

  • THERE IS NOTHING THAT YOU COULD DO THAT I WOULD NOT FORGIVE....I LOVE YOU BABY.....

  • Jackiej61too, Top notch!! Faron Young is to be commended on the writing of "Is It So Strange." And, he had to be pleased with Elvis' treatment of it. I can't think of another vocal artist who could have sung it with as much feeling and power as Elvis did. Just listen to his delivery of the word "hold" in the line "Let me hold you near" and you'll get a glimpse of the magic of Elvis Presley, the singer. Every woman who hears that, knows it is she he wants to hold at that moment.

  • i looove the pic at 2:30

  • @freedencevia. I just checked that image at 2:30 and I love it too. Never seen it before and its rare you get Elvis images looking straight at you. Recently I've been going through an Elvis phase again (it happens about once a year) and I'm still discovering songs I've not heard before. Thank you Utube!

  • @daveyanna i agree! but im a crazed fan... haha im always through that phase. Have a wonerful day :) elvis always and forever!

  • @freedencevia Loving Elvis is not a sign of craziness .. simply an acknowledgement that there's been nobody like him before or since. Elvis always and forever!! I'm going to Graceland ..

  • @daveyanna hope you have a wonderful time :)

  • love it

  • Elvis was just 22 when he recorded this.

What amazing power and control of his voice, at such a young age.

    Best vocalist and performer ever.

  • Elvis had no intrest in writing, his goals were higher, he really did want to be a great actor, now weather or not that would have happened , we never now. As for the beatles, ringo can't sing,Lennon did not have the voice Elvis had,Paul at best was good, Harrison,ok,but one on one none of them could come close to EP,not in the Beatle group, but I have to say this they wrote some great stuff and recorded some great stuff, but none of their voices could match Elvis.or their looks, All Elvis wanabe's

  • 1west72ndstreet My message below is to you.

  • one of the best oldies song

  • wow really good pictures! some of them I have never seen before, where do you find them??

  • I love this song by Elvis! Thank you for posting it! Nice pics' of Elvis! :D <3 Maureen

  • i got tears in my eyes, listening to this guy sing.

  • Another of Elvis's great songs. Written by Faron Young, I have never heard Faron's version, does anybody have it?.

  • Always in my mind !

  • great song

  • if it wasnt for elvis i would never had played guitar and found my true meaning in life.

  • @Mr161064 i gotta tell ya something mate, if it wasnt for the beatles the world would have died of boredom, elvis ripped off black music never grew as an artist..we all know everybody nixs others, but elvis was nothing after his early stuff which wasnt even his..you elvis freaks are all alike..of course elvis was great but not a true artist like the great john lennon or even dylan...elvis would have killed just to OWN one Beatles classic ..you know WRITE, PLAY & SING IT songs like "Let It Be"

  • @1west72ndstreet let me tell you sumthing mate i aint no elvis freak,i love the beatles, eddie cochran, buddy holly etc but you dont have to be a great songwriter to sing a song eg,frank sinatra, bing crosby, pavarotti etc. ps do you live in the states.

  • @Mr161064 i didnt say that you had to be, but my good friend, when you write , play & sing songs like the following.. 1. Imagine 2. Yesterday 3. In My life 4. Eleanor Rigby 5. Let It Be 6. Strawberry Fields Forever 7. Hey Jude 8. Something just to name a few...well IT IS SO MUCH MORE SO MUCH MORE than one who just sings a song....you must rent everything in your life? have you ever looked at an original painting before or do you by a xerox coply of the painting?

  • I think you do not know what you are talking about. I think the Beatles themselves would totally disagree with your comments as any artist who came after Elvis would disagree too. They all say they were influenced by Elvis, and I doubt we would even know who the Beatles were if it hadnt been for Elvis. The first thing the Beatles wanted to do when they went to America in the 60's was to meet Elvis, this was arranged and all they could do was stare, they were so overwhelmed to meet Elvis,

  • Elvis at the zenith of his singing career, the pre-Las Vegas era. What a voice, aside from being the most handsome singer and actor ever.

  • Ringworm is spot on. So many Elvis classics weren't the hits but little gems like this wonderful interpretation of Faron Young's song. Others that I thought should have been more well-known are Elvis' version of "I'll Hold You In My Heart" from the "From Elvis In Memphis" LP and "I'm So Glad You're Mine".

  • Amazing & awesome !

  • One of my favorites. Has anyone listened to the cover of this that was just posted. Its a little more intense but it sounds pretty sweet. I think it was titled - elvis presley is it so strange 2010 -

  • I love this song. I found a video of a cover of this earlier. It does not say who is singing and its mainly audio but its pretty dang good. Here is the link:

  • Great song. I read somewhere that this was the first ballad he recorded that he was proud of.

  • Very beautiful song by a sweet, wounderful man.Elvis will always be the best of the best to me.

  • Oh yesss Teddy Bear and Blue Suede Shoes are great as well...:)

  • Ohhhh yes! Teddy Bear and Blue Suede Shoes...those 2 were in top rank....they are great. This is good song too..but those 2 are greater...:)

  • wooooooo if you tell a lie you know i for give you, for you say our love is just game and when you hear my name you say im love a strange world but is it so strange to be in love with you

is so strange that i love you more than the world

is so strange ill have no eyes for any girl oh that girl, ooh you take me back and say that you still love me,to waste our love like ours would be a sin, lets kiss again let me hold you near and take me from strange world that i may live again oooooooooooooooo

  • This is Amazing! LOVE IT!! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Always found it so strange that songs like this one, and many of his others ,are basically unheard of , outside of his fan base !Yet , in my opinion , worse songs like teddy bear ,and blue suede shoes, are worldly known ,and sold millions !...

  • I Agree...........

  • @HeyRingworm2008 I'm not a "Teddy Bear" song defender, but what was fun about it at the time was that it played against the negative image many in the older generation had of Elvis. Here he was wanting to be sweet and cuddly. It disarmed a number of his social critics.

  • @Port20dude YES ! GOOD POINT ! Im not a hater of [ Teddy bear ] or [ Blue suede shoes ] either . I just get a bit confused why so many radio stations play the same handful of his [[ obvious songs ALL the time , yet many of elvis [ hidden gems ] , never get any air time ! And consequently , are not known by the general public !!

  • TYVM my friend.

  • Thanks Hornetobiker your my friend same here

  • this has moved me for 30 years now. Not much does that any more but this song still hits the spot.

  • Beautiful!

  • Thanks for posting these great photos! Great, great collection! One of my favorite songs, great combo! Love in Elvis fandom, Pippi Bernstein

  • Very great song...:o)

  • Forget to say, welcome back JACKIEJ61TOO. Thanks for the memories!

  • They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire LIFE to forget them! I,ll never forget ELVIS or my first true love JUNE GILL. I will see them both in the next life.

  • What a beautiful song. Those lyrics r so beautiful. Thanks for doin this great vid:)

  • Thanks for posting this song! It's the first time I've heard the whole thing. Elvis sang a bit on the Million Dollar Quartet CD and said Faron Young wrote it. The relationship between the two men is covered in "Live Fast, Love Hard: The Faron Young Story."

  • Thank you for posting this beautiful song with those lovely photos. I loved sharing this!

  • sammy this song is 52 years old..still as fresh as the day it was made...

  • I just recently discovered this song & have listened to it over & over. The range of Elvis' voice is unbelievable. His talent really shines with this one. Thanks again for taking the time to put this together :)

  • @sammyt65I totally agree Elvis's vocal range is second to none. Noone can sing as beautifully as him, ♥

  • It's hard to believe that there is an Elvis song I've never heard before. But it's so good

    5*****......John

  • Very beautiful rendition of a very lovely song. Excellent video.

  • Written by Faron Young. Elvis recorded it January 19, 1957 at Radio Recorders. It is available on A Date With Elvis, Separate Ways, The King of Rock n Roll-The Complete 50s Masters, Elvis: Close Up, and the remastered Loving You CD with bonus tracks, which is where this version is from.

  • This is such a very terrific, overlooked and underrated song. It's a true masterpiece for sure. Elvis definitely had a voice like no other. Elvis will definitely always be #1. This video was absolutely magical in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie. Elvis forever.
