Warning Warning!! Chopin Potato Vodka quality has gone down hill lately! When they decided to upgrade the image of it, meaning they added a cork and a chill cup to it when you buy it, the company had no choice but to increase the quantity of the bottles. High quality= less quantity, High quantity= less quality. Hopefully the pint size has better quality. I bet you people, in a decade, Chopin will be the new Grey Goose= Big hype, Big shit quality!
Chopin is solid, but Goose is not too bad either. It's much more apparent if you eat something while SIPPING them, though Russian vodka like the Russian Standard or Imperia is more ideally suited for that. End game if you want to get messed up just buy Svedka or Absolut and be done with it. They're both good enough to get away with especially once you're gone.
Chopin and Belvedere are excellent. I remember getting a bottle of Grey Goose as a present and being stoked! I made the same mixed drinks as I did with Belvedere, and instantly thought something was WRONG with my drink. Grey Goose is over-rated. It's smooth, but the taste......god, there's something very OFF with it. I'm not a Grey Goose fan, and prefer other vodkas like Belvedere, Chopin, Ketel One, and Level One.
Grey Goose is owned by Bacardi. The Microsoft of spirits. Gray Goose is nothing more than great marketing in a beautiful package. Vodka is so easy to make. There is no reason a vodka should cost 30 dollars. Grey goose is a scam. Potato vodka is also more expensive to make which is the reason 90% of vodkas are made of grain.
Chopin is better hands down but grey goose isn't an ignorant rapers drink as one of the comments says below. I interchange between goose, belvedere, and Chopin all the time. Chopin is the best tasting and extremely smooth. Belvedere is cheaper than the other two and is also smooth. But I like goose better than belvedere. Just depends on what you have a taste for.
got some grey goose a couple days ago real nice vodka. It has a smooth taste with a with a bit of a kick/ burn after taste. good enough to drink straight at room temp. I can defiantly tell the difference between goose and cheaper vodka it doesn't have that dirty taste like the cheap ones. only down side it cost £30 for 70cl in the uk
Pole invented vodka Nobody beats the world in the making of Polish vodka Chopin was legends and legends today The government is doing a lot of money on vodka
In Polish, spirytus rektyfikowany means rectified spirit. The Polish product is distilled to slightly above 95% (190 proof).
Polmos-for Polski Monopol Spirytusowy, Polish Spirit Monopoly
Thank for drinking Polish vodka Chopin the best one!!
Grey Goose one of the biggest scams in the liquor industry. I always try to switch my preferred customers to things that are better such as, Belvedere, Chopin, or even Finlandia.
Grey goose is the biggest scam just like Absolut vodka which tastes fowl if you want to try Grey Goose without actually buying it get a bottle of water drink 1/5 of the bottle then add some cheap vodka like Popov or Bartons then shake it and BAM!
I prefer even $13 Luksusowa Polish potato vodka over Grey Goose. I've never been a vodka fan but that's probably because grain alcohol is disgusting. Potato vodka is much smoother, silkier, less harsh. No content. I haven't tried Chopin yet, but from what I've heard it's like Luksusowa with even less of a bite.
I'd say both are very close in quality, but the 10 or so dollars you pay extra for Chopin (talking about the 1.75 liter sizes) is very worth it if you want a smooth drink.
I'd go with the goose because I already think paying that much is a large hole in my wallet, but if money is plentiful, tryout the chopin!
grey goose is such a scam, they take a vodka like any other, price it much higher, and all the stupid kids think it's some amazing high quality product. Brilliant marketing it has been.
what do you know about spirits :S you do not zip plain vodka, either you shot it or mix it into drinks. And grey goose vodka have won prizes for the best tasting vodka in the world. pretty newbie to be taking the shots like exactly after the other (Y) then you can really feel the significant taste better ...
I apologize for the comment dropped from my account though it wasn't me who wrote it. I totally agree with you, but have you tried the "absolut level" ?
Luksusowa, from Poland.
try it and you'll never buy either Goose or Chopin again... especially if you think paying a premium for vodka is a rip off.
you'll thank me.

if you can't tell the diff just by smell between potatoe and grain vodka you're an idiot and shouldn't be allowed around vodka taste tests.
anyway, Grey Goose is a scam, anyone that thinks it's 'the best' isn't a real vodka drinker.
