  • you need to learn how to put notes together.

  • Very Hot beat.. Excellent job! Snoop would kill this.. Keep it up.. I am feelin this shit!!!!!!!!!

  • bro good shit! i am blown away. i just started producing like 4 months ago, so this is inspiring

    thanks.what drums did you use?

  • This is hardly finished, in time u will realise that this is very loose, drums need loads of work ( compression, layers on the kik and snare, hat patterns, and eq). Bass needs works and so does the string stab u got going will some reverb perhaps.

  • i can feel where you comming from with the dre style i can here it in the piano

  • The drums need more kick...some heavier bass wouldn't hurt. Overall a very good record!

  • Does anybody knows how in logic pro 9 can i export my project to wave ???

  • I'm not hating or a neww producer I'm on a few underground records actually what I'm bout to say is constructive criticism... ur drums sound live they not hitting hard your string work is cool but the drums need to hit a little hard the drums is what gunna make this track sell!!! you have a good foundation though!!!

  • Take off dre style.. For your benefit. Only say that because its good enough and doesnt sound like dre so dont give dre that recognition..

  • i like it man great job !

  • Piano is hot but drums suck. drums sounds too real. like original fl drums.

Beat is not banger, but its normal.

  • yeah nice beat not entirely a good effort to copy dre but the beat soundsd amaziing itself :)

  • Its just alite but thts just my opinion and just keepp makin beats tho! :)

  • dope beats

  • Hey it's ok but here's some tips. Make your own beat patches and get some bass going on.

  • Like it alot bro ;) thnx for listening to my stuff new things will come fast :) had a bitt bussy with work :P

  • this is some dope shit bruv.. keep it goin ... i would like to some more of your work with a little bit of bass on the kick :D

  • Seriously anyone hating knows nothing about Music this shit is hot. Tell me you can't hear Nate Dogg and Snoop on this. 2nd the beat hasn't been mixed down yet. I wonder when I start making. beat vids what people will say.

  • @IAMTheVocalBeast Just expect the hate, its mostly from new producers that aren't going anywere and aren't getting any views on there videos lol trust me a lot of them are reacuring characters on my videos and other logic users haha I always see there comments on other channels and its always funny as fuck cause its really there life

  • The kick is usualy louder in dre tunes. Dont get me wrong though do like it

  • Pretty darn good

  • a piano doesnt make a dre beat. why does everyone think they can do a dre beat! Only dre can do a dre beat. stick to your own style. Thats what he did... your sound is great though. keep it up

  • i like it:)

  • sounds like storch

  • not a hot beat, not a dr dre beat. the drums arent dr dre style at all

  • @XxplosiveAM Lol you should of added the fact that I'm not Dr. Dre lol naw but that gave me a good laugh but I still agree not a Dre track at all haha

  • @alexkingcloud haha alright man.

  • @alexkingcloud but it's got "Dr. Dre Style Beat" in the title. It should at least be relevant to the title right?

  • @SoundJunkieVlog What I mean is its just my attempt at a Dre style track but its not a Dr. Dre studio quality track it just has the sound of one if that makes sense

  • You should use a hip hop kit instead of a rock kit

  • this is an amazing beat, but not really something Dre himself would make but i reckon he would probably spit on this. good work though!

  • whack

  • @ImDino Hmm never thought about it that way but I think your right.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=g2PNTffiOMY

  • how did you made that "drop" at 1:29?

  • @Juliaker that's exactly what I wanted to ask :/

  • @KDanimations I guess I gotta reply now lol

its just the reverse crash mix with the staccato string melody.

  • @Juliaker

its just the reverse crash mixed with the staccato string melody.

  • @alexkingcloud

it took me a month to figure out how to make a reverse crash cymbals lol

  • fuck haters this is actually awesome even if its not like dr dre's work.

  • we all START somewhere, as "wack" as this beat may be, it's displays how beautiful the growth/progression a person can make with dedicated hard work...

    keep grindin

  • only the piano is dr. dre style thats it

mines better it has that west coast feel check it out on my channel

  • FL THE BEST LOGIC FULL OF LOOPS NIGGA!!!!!!!!! MAKE A REAL BEAT -_-

  • Sounds good to me man.. Stop negging your style because some internet losers throw judgement. Just do what you do and be proud of it.

  • weak drums, weak harmony

  • @07fca

    Totally, dude

  • dre style beat you must be black :/

  • @xxdeathx

The sad thing is your partly right, I am part black but don't worry for the most part I am Native American with a little bit of caucasian so hopefully that will weight out the black for you. haha now turn that frown upside down... there is still hope.

  • pretty good you should make a faster beat something that can be freestyled to

  • Good stuff man.. I just started using Logic pro 9 after coming from Window FL Studio and I am amazed at the capabilities

    Keep up the great work

  • WHY DOES IT SOUND DIFFERENT, IT DOESNT HAVE THE ''DRUN'' DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN, ''DRAN'' DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?

  • @starakdamian

yea thats because the notes on this beat are played in chords which are 3 note played at the same time, watch some tutorials on chord progression on youtube

and on this beat the notes are slightly off set so it give them a little more swing which is that ''DRUN'' DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN, lol you should listen to my other Dre style beat which is called "Seattle Cloud Logic Pro 9 Dr.Dre Style beat" which has a better example of proper chord progression.

  • WHAT KINDA PIANO IS THAT FOR LOGIC PRO 9? DID YOU HAVE TO EDIT TO MAKE THAT PIANO SOUND?

  • @starakdamian

Lol calm down man the piano is called "Pop Piano" in logic and no I did not have to edit it.

  • WHAT KINDA PIANO IS THAT FOR LOGIC PRO 9?

  • vaya puta mierda de base

  • dope!

  • not really dre style.. its ok tho

  • Hot beat but not really a Dre beat.

  • @J2daBeatz yea a no shit captain obvious he isn't dr dre

  • how long does it take you to make beats

  • @21PSJ

Only a few hours to make the beat but to finish it, it usually takes a few days till I'm satisfied

  • Hey man if you have time come check out one of my beats... Good work and keep up the beats...

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome beat, maybe change your snare drum though, sounds a bit military drum style?

  • @ElmoDoesCrazyShizzle yeh he could use some clear clap

  • is it only a beat or is there a version where someones rapping on top of it? Pretty sick, bro. Really diggin the Piano and Ensemble.

  • you suck

  • they call me a sinner

    but im still a winner

and i feel like a prisoner

cause every body think im just an imaginer

  • what 2 chords are you using for the piano at the beggining?

  • @Davidisg0d

When I made this I only knew what chords were but I didn't know much about chord progression so the first chord is D# minor and the second is just F,B, and D. Thats why the beat sounds out of tune.

  • @alexkingcloud sounds kind of like some puertorican rap, youtube "plastika" and listen to it, they sound similar, and the second chords is off but still sounds good,, cheers

  • @alexkingcloud what are you talking about out of tune?

    this sounds absolutely fine!

  • good shit!

  • Flase notes in the piano mate...

  • for a even sicker beat check this : /watch?v=WSNMajnma4g

  • do a tutorial on making dr dre type beats. tunes big still fam

  • good sounds - put some delay in groove, then you have it more laid back.... that´s only my idea...:-)

  • was this made by using sample all on Logic Studio 9 or were some of these recorded ?

  • Check out my dr dre/west coast beats if you get a chance

  • So this is actually a special FL studio for mac..?

  • nice joint maan!!! i always wanted to uknow make beats from scratch!!! i mostly sample!! but yeah man you got ma skillz bruh! keep it up bruh!

  • hahaha

  • i make better beats with fl studio

  • Sounds pretty false O_o

  • This is very good and similar in style to something Dr. Dre might make

  • did u copy an paste each chorus in there an stuff? an also like edit the end an beginning of the clips u looped to make it sound continuos? cuz thats the only way ive been able to make beats on logic an i kinda wish there was a way like in fl studio to do it but i guess this is jus an advanced pro daw compared to fl but i was wondering if u have any tricks for structure like i mentioned in the beginning

  • dude this is soo sick publish it

  • shiiiiit man thats fucking banging ... i can imagine the man himself rapping over the top ... nice track keep it up

  • yeah bro's, what up....check this out, yo yo waitin for the guy nxt door to kick it, but know what, fuck it, ill go first cuz hell never be able to flick it the beats are blowjob but ill' work whit what i got, the least shit i can do is give it my best shoot tryin' to rap whit writers block, tryin' not to sound like old granny cock the time i'm on stage, imma throw jokes at you, cuz i'm in a fuckin' rage and 500 digits is to litlle for me, so i'm outtie, fuck man, guess thats all about me.
  • its ok

  • I am so new to this program is their a way to edit MIDI files like you can in the one for windows Fl Studio I just got the program today and wanted to know I was pretty good at fl studio for windows but I am a huge fan of mac software even more so now that I got final cut and now this program.

  • Dope Beat, Thats my problem, I never finish any projects I start, any advice?

  • @mikegpisp i dont know any really good tips but for me its how i start it

either ill do the drums first then the instrumentals

or ill do all the instrumentals first then put in a ton of work on the drums

  • @alexkingcloud i think1st u need a melody in head n after the beat????????

  • @mikegpisp when im making a song, i always end up getting bored halfway through and run out of ideas. I decided to put my unfinished songs on my iPod, and listen to them everyday, this helped me lots as i kept imagining what would go next :) hope i helped :) check out ma channel (:

  • @mikegpisp Start off with drums or an instrumental and just come up with something that you can go with...then leave for like 20 min and come back and work on it and usually it'll clear youre mind.

I used to have the same problem...somtimes you just need some time to clear your mind and get a fresh start and it helps when you come back and you have a little somethin youve already started.

  • @mikegpisp try putting an unfinished projects on your ipod and listen to them a lot, helped me loads :D

  • @mikegpisp hahaha me 2

  • @mikegpisp finish the projects that you started :)

  • @mikegpisp for me i always have to get a clear form in my head and then i can do it - i make one bit of the beat first probably the chorus but can be the verse, i used to never be able to progress past thatpoint, but then i started thinking, ok what would sound good as a verse now? how should i break this down and then go back to the theme? and then by asking questions i can start to formulate what i want to do with the rest of the track

  • teach me how to make dat i love dr dre beats im a big fan

  • @TIC2067 do you want me to make a tutorial on this beat? or on a Dre beat in general? cause ill make one when i get the time if you want

  • @alexkingcloud

would be cool to see a tutorial for this man? it's really good. thanks

  • I think its needs more on the snare. like a tambourine hit or something.. Other than that its good

  • This is fucking sick dude...Im not even into rap at all (bluegrass is my favorite) but dude you got a good thing going

  • Needs a little work but I see where You are going and definitely on the right track.

  • Nice work man, keep it up!

  • pianos out of key . . .

  • @benc9722 alright now i believe it

  • @alexkingcloud sarcasm is the lowest form of wit my friend

  • @benc9722 lol no i was being serious

    seriously no sarcasm

  • @alexkingcloud well good then :)

  • @benc9722 i just found out i have to learn chord progression

thats y its out of key

  • yo ur piano was way off kkey dude

  • @iiSUPERsonic

no its not cause its in a D# harmonic minor scale, just like everything else on this beat

if you dont like then tell me you dont like you dont have make stuff up

  • @alexkingcloud dont get to excited kid, its good but the piano in the beginning doesnt sound right

  • @iiSUPERsonic its probably just a little distorted on your speakers since the base is to heavy

this is one of my first beats i made

i didnt have good speakers when i mixed it so i assumed at the time as long as the decimal level didnt overkill then it was good but then when i got a good set of headphones i realized i was wrong lol but its only like that on youtube

  • I am having the same problem...not being able to finish beats...I can't seem to get the looping correct and the sounds that i am looking for I can't seem to find in logic stock sounds..any advice on a sample pack?

  • this beat is sick as! very well made in my opinion...keep up the good work bra!!

  • @KevoCatz302 thx

    nice work on that guitar

  • @alexkingcloud lol no man,,,they were pretty crap since i have cubital tunnel syndrome...used to be able to play better

  • @KevoCatz302 sounded good to me

  • @alexkingcloud Thanks a lot man...hey actually i think ur beat has the potential to become the next GTA theme..really i'm serious,,,btw were they all synths??

  • @KevoCatz302 thx maybe if it sounded more professional i didn't have good speakers or headphones when i made it so it doesn't sound as good as it can be

and no only the bass is a synth the rest are strings, a piano and a sitar

  • I'd make your "church choir" stretch a bit more to avoid the spaces in between attacks. Legato or Stagato.. I'm still learning Ableton, I'd like to get to your level and actually complete something cool. Nice job though.

  • Guys im a begginer in music production i know how to use garage band easily and im bored with it! I want to buy logic but im not sure if it is so easy what do u think?

  • Get a torrent of Logic Pro. That's what I did

  • torrent it its free then

  • just like every program/software ... it takes patients and practice ... logic is 1 of the best music/video creation software you could find. go for it and take your time, never give up.

  • @DJOrfaRulzz

Logic is very easy, check it on the apple site man!

  • you have a nice concept but you need to go back and touch it up a little bit. you could make it sound a lot better. Thats what you gotta do with beats. you have the outline now make it perfect

  • Dude this shit is ILL. I can easily imagine Gucci, Snoop, and/or Dr. Dre rapping on it, honestly.

  • yo this aint bad, this beat is nice

  • thx

  • loooooooooooool oh god , dude you actually went quiet scary and spooky with that piano and synth combined

    fucking hell

  • this sucks balls i think i speak for everyone

  • thx man i always wanted to kno what everyone thought of this

can u tell me what everyone thinks of my other beats? id appreciate it so much

  • yep u do dude! this is off key and dodgy!!!

  • I don't like Hip Hop, but this beat is nice. The "scary synth" you use reminds me of "D12 - Fight Music".

I'm a Logic switcher from PT8. I bought PT8 in summer and it works like shit using Snow Leopard. I prefer the editing in PT8, but Logic handles the CPU better than PT8. And when I say better I say... 5 RTAS in PT8 eat CPU like 20 AU in Logic.

  • Why have u hidden the inspector column?

  • i didn't think anyone cared about it but if u want i could include it on my next beat

  • The inspector column limits your arrangement window, maybe in a 27" iMac it doesn't matter, but in a 13" Macbook each inch matters :).

I hide it when I don't need it and I use a 19" LCD. I prefer being able to see more of the arrangement than having the inspector bothering me.

I can see the battery icon in the video, so he's using a Laptop, so maybe his LCD is small.

  • yep its only a 13" screen but thats not y i have the IC hidden

    and thx 4 the comment

  • where'd you get the yamaha grand piano sound?

  • its a stock sound for logic pro its named "pop piano" under acoustic pianos

  • This Is Dope, Pull The Bass Out More Though Also Multi Press Eq The Drum Beat Cause They Just Running In Back Ground, Dre Always Makes The Drum Beat Stand Out.

    Keep The Work, Good Job

  • yeah definitely use hip hop kicks and whatnot, not real drums.

  • change the drum section, use hip hop kicks n snares instead of real drums or rock kicks n shit :) n fuck em haters, maby it's simple but it goes hard, i can dig it

  • a bit boring to be honest of a Dr.Dre style you need it to be bigger to do a Dr.Dre with some next level drum sounds. try using ultra beats in logic to mess around with the standard drums set you get and mess around with the effects you can get some sweet shit out of it ;) keep up the work bro

  • thx 4 the info man

i use ultra beat but dont really mess with its features that much but i will now

  • its basic

  • nice come bye & holla @ me

  • this is a pretty sick beat, props to ya man.

  • thx

  • where can i found logic pro?

  • apples web site

  • i can't stop listen that shit!!!

  • lol thx man u should download it n show everyone u kno

  • your getting good man! sounds like you got the concepts in your head comin out!

  • send that to aftermath, dr dre remix that shit and put it on detox. i'm serious

  • lol thx man that b sick if that happened

  • very good i like that beat

  • sounds nice homie! keep it up

  • thx u 2 man u got sum hella sick beats
