@killzoneisa 3d hologram will take a time to come, manly because looking at a hologram for just 10 min will give you headache and its very bad for your eye's
I have a small led tv and before that i had a big lcd tv and i cant freaking see any fucking difference in picture qaulity. I must be either blind or everyone is retarded to buy a tv that costs $3000 or more...
the only difference you will notice is in the brightness and the control over contrasting certian areas of your tv, plus youshould notice the decrease in your electricity bill as they use minimal power with no draw backs to flourecant tubes =)
@Erago575 at the end it said they are making a series called Respawn and i was done with my first episode and they put it on a day before me and now i am pissed
The "number of colours" is pretty irrelevant. Being able to produce a larger gamut of colours is good though. The main practical problem is though - don't you need to film with a special camera in order to take advantage of the yellow? Maybe they could "up the contrast" on normal film to use a larger gamut.
That probably has more vivid colors because it use 4 pixels instead of three. But theirs a limit to that! If they keep using more pixels to make up one color, then it decreases the resolution of the picture. After all, black & white uses only 2 pixels, and has the sharpest image. Just look at old black & white photographs versus color ones!
@Bugstomper2 TVs are getting bigger and bigger, and sharper and sharper (due to increased number of pixels) So you wouldnt notice much of a difference. The colours wouldn't just be "more vivid" they would be closer to what they were, in real life, when the shot was taken. They made a bad decision not making it 3D compatible though.. I hope this tech doesn't disappear because it didn't catch on due to a stupid marketing move..
so it isnt 3d ready then. i dont see the point in buying it personally, sharp needs to step up to whats new already and not just fix their crappy picture.
@Sophist63 yea what a bitch.

$2,900 more for a mere 16 inches. The technology is already implemented, so reduce the damn threshold.
