It really is a great song but I don't know how fitting it is considering the location in KY?Makes me a little apprehensive about staying there...JJ..I live in the Ky I can say that!As for the wildlife, there definitely are both bears and bobcats in the region.Wether or not you will ever see one??I have only seen a bobcat in western Ky myself(Land Between the Lakes to be exact)I am still looking for a Sasquatch!!
I left it at 7:00 pm last night. 3 days and 2 nights wasn't long enough. You can definitely hear animals at night but for the most part they are illusive and afraid of humans. Who can blame them?
sorry, no bears in the gorge, and in 20 years i've never seen a bobcat in the gorge, there are a few there, but you probably won't see them. i guess people will tell you anything to get you to buy something!
Yes there are bears, they show up regular enough at the dumpster that people sit and wait to see them. As for the bobcat, we found hair on Echo Falls property before we built and was told it was bobcat hair, while walking through the woods we came across one on the ridge. A guest left a note that he was cooking brats on the grill and the bobcat came to the cabin. He added that the bobcat loved the brats! It would seem the Gorge is getting more populated and the animals are following the food.
Talk about seclusion! Our last "neighbors" left on Sunday morning, meaning we're the only residents of Paradise Valley. We rent cabins in Gatlinburg 2-3 times a year, and always look for "total seclusion" but never really found it until now. Looks like we've found our cabin "home". The cabin is a rare find, simple, comfortable, very well decorated and taken care of. All of the little touches are great. Hate to leave, we will definitly be back with a canoe to get the whoppers out of the lake.
I'm a country boy from way out in the sticks and this is a little bit of home.... YEEHAWWW!!!! Let 'er go boys

Bears are making their way back to the gorge, I have yet to spot one, but they're there again. Would love to spot a bobcat there also :)
