  • I love wind turbines xxx

  • literally, and this is as far as this discussion needs to go. anyone who is against wind farms is a colossal fucking moron and doesn't deserve a say!!!!!!! your out dated, retarded, and totally going against the grain of exactly what needs to be done to sort this planet. Rid us please of your stupidity, do us all a massive favor and fucking DIE!!!!!

god, you nob ends make me angry!

  • Look at all the stupid people who say Nuclear Power is better, BIG fail.. Look whats happening in Japan

  • Perhaps you all enjoy paying $5.00 per gallon of gasoline. Perhaps nuclear energy meltdowns are more entertaining. lol

  • The windmills have a maximum life capacity of 20 years. After that they are all junk. plus a windmill needs some months of non stop wind to produce the electric energy that was spent to make it. So are aproximatelly 50 tons of metal junk envaromental friendly? I think not

  • I'm going to say yes to it, even if it is near a memorial, because do you johnpascall2008 regularly visit the memorial, probably not, so why stop it? But if you do then good for you. Also how does a wind turbine spoil a memorial? It dosen't. They are quiet thesedays, and they turn slowly, so are not distracting. There are no reasons to say no to wind turbines, modern ones do not injure birds, and they help to reduce are carbon emmisions, which we need to. They are not disrespectfull in any way.

  • @andygd8 *our

  • @andygd8 sorry ... our

  • @andygd8 sorry ... our

  • the wind turbines here don't make ANy noise

  • sorry but you are allowing toxic wastes to spill oil to spill and coal fired plants to put out radiated dust in the air while a better solution is available you want to squish it.

i sure see that you don't want a better place for your grand children thats for sure

  • Wind farm instead of war memorial? Any day, because if we don't start using renewable energy there won't be any left alive to remember war veterans.

  • A lot of ill educated comments by the majority of people on here. Wind power is great, the location is not. The area they are planning this site on is green belt land which is an essential breathing area, if you like, for the nearby towns. Igneus Claw have one of Europe's biggest industrial works just a stones throw away and Shell also have a major power plant just a few miles from it. There are 2 incinerators in the area, with a third in the pipeline. On top of that they also have the M56.

  • yes to wind power

  • Age 20 (must be 18ish when he added this), no education, no perspective, brain pumped up with so called patriotism (cynically, saving money of your own country cannot be deemed as patriorism for these types) ... So the point made is: "I am 18 , war memorials are very important , I have no idea about the criteria that engineers picked that point, yes I wanna be a soldier and shoot bang bang.."

  • This guy is dumb, he shows images of these Vesta V-80s and V-90s which make no noise. Not too mention each one can produce up to 3 MW. I know because I am looking at 5 Windfarms remotely via a SCADA system. People need energy and this is better than burning fuel.

  • the thing is, most people who are against are selfish.

Yes it will mess up the natural beauty, but its eigher you sacrifise this for the future generation.

    or let us die.

  • Say yes, or better yet, build a war memorial under the wind farms dedicated to "fighting so humanity can evolve." Follow this videos advice and say YES at the same place it tells you to go.

  • haha douche.

quit bein a bitch and live with them.

  • Would this be where the memorial is and on Frodsham hill? Renewable energy is good, but there are better sites in the area that would not cause as much of a problem. There is more than a rumour that a Wind Farm is planned for down the

Marsh, next to the largest Waste Incinerator in Europe that has just been passed for development on the marshes.

The Marshes Wind Farm is going to be bigger. Thats if it goes ahead, Peel Holding might be in charge of it - not sure.

  • wow I hate people that dont know anything about what they are trying to stop, wind farms are one of the best thing humans have made, I guest this person is a gas lover would rather poulite the only home he will ever have then try to say it some humans are just fucking stuipd

  • hello

  • put a spoonful of cement in your coffee and toughen the fuck up!

  • your video is silent...JUST LIKE THE WIND FARMS!

    how ironic!

    SAY YES TO RENEWABLE ENERGY!

  • I drove by a wind farm with hundreds of turbines spinning, we pulled over, stopped the car, rolled down the window, and heard NOTHING!! We were about 20 yards from the dang things! The wind was even blowing towards us! They are SILENT! more research might help there buddy.

  • LOL-nice try at propaganda (not really)... pics of massive wind farms, for a proposal concerning 4. Should have included the sound of a wind turbine wooshing, too. "WHIRL THUD" just doesn't have the same impact.

  • have you ever been in a wind turbine? I have and when it was running to! the tour guide didn't even have to shout it was that quiet! and the last guy was right, the wind is louder than the turbines.

  • I say YES to wind power, any and everywhere. The newest rotor/blade technology hardly makes more than a whisper. Some complaints about the farms still flying some older crap are justified, but they will be replaced with even quieter technologies. You no longer hear noise from the interior of the nacelles; too high and well insulated. Just a quite whoosh, depending on the wind speeds. And you WILL get used to it. Meanwhile -- don't be such a douche bag. The wind is louder than the turbines are.

  • Ok, something quiet then. How about a neuclear reactor site, next to your town. Lovely. Very quiet. And by the way. One 3 megwatt machchine can power many homes. MANY.

  • blah blah blah!!!!!!! just get used to it

  • Yeah, say no to the renewable energy source which will save the planet!

Either live with it or live underwater whe sea levels rise.

  • @AdzyRimmer

How about the homes people have worked all their lives for? House prices will crash. The area already has 2 major power plants on either side of it. It also has incinerators and a motorway. That bit of green belt that the proposed wind farm is going on is essential to the area to off lay the horrors of industry and pollution around it.

  • People seem to think that Wind Farms will be noisy.

It's probably because they are confusing the terms Wind Turbine Engine with Jet Turbine Engine.

  • Say No to non-polutin power plant? You silly FUCK ;] Eat the uranium from nucler power plant dickhead.

  • I say yes,

  • NIMBY is right! I have an idea then... how about if you say no to the wind farm, electricity is cut off to your house... that simple..... then let's see who says no!

  • say yes

  • nothing like selfish NIMBYism

  • Wait.

    just 4 turbines?

is this seriously even a debate? I dont know if any of you have ever been to a wind farm, but they are quite loud only when you are standing in the middle of them. 4 turbines is going to make virtually no noise. certainly none that you can hear from more than a couple hundred feet away.

  • Reading the posts makes apparent the lack of respect for the blood shed to protect our country. Like it or not, agree with a war (any war) or not, we owe respect to those who paid for our freedom.

  • Turbine noise - you don't know the half of it!!! Check out this Nuke power plant carrying out its regular siren testing, paste the following in to the You Tube search window:- NHEQaXqaIv4, it does this regularly!!! And anyway, why does it need a siren, is it to warn everyone to run for their lives when it all starts to go wrong!! Give me a wind farm any day!!

  • Build a wind farm so you wont have to build a war memorial in the future dedicated to all the soldiers lost over oil.

  • Build the Wind farm!!!! we need it.

  • Let's build that windfarm! You won't get much value out of a war memorial.

  • SAY YES! There is no noise unless you're inside the thing.

  • u think a war memorial is more important than wind turbines? the only purpose a memorial will sever is maybe u will go look at it 5 days out of the year. wind turbines will provide carbon free energy at a much cheaper price then what u probably currently pay for natural gas

  • Wow. I've seen some stupid posts' but this one takes the cake! Any mick (or hick) who is afraid of a quiet wind turbine that turns out tons of mega watts in electric power every year is backward beyond belief.

  • you are so smart i think you could even save the air polution with this idea, stupid bastard

  • i most certainly will and every one that comes after it too!

  • say yes to wind farms everywhere that is ;]

  • Is there a "say Yes" campaign I could sign?

  • well.. i work everyday with 3 MW windmills and think and have hear it everyday... it might make bit sound but when u r in midlle of city traffic makes 2 times same noice... ok nuclear doesnt make a sound but what happened when it exploded....? and i think all of u guys how read this text using energy... everywhere in the world energy need grow up. so if someone can give better way to make energy tell me... pls. pure and safe way so tell...

  • Crying about how the site and sound has ruined your lives due to the turbines . What are you fucking stupid! Bitch about probably one of the cleanest and safest ways to make mega watts of power. I guess you have forgot of the millions of people hew have been poisoned from nuclear, co2 and all the other shit out there. I think I would be honored to see one of these things every day and think that maybe mankind is going in the right direction !

  • my dad works at one of those places in fairless hills pa that makes them hes the manager of the blade department one of those blades cost 300,000

  • what an ignorant view. You go live next to an industrial park. Plus, if you rely on wind power here, your light switch won't turn on in the summer...

  • your not very smart are you?

do some home work on living off the grid and then get back to me,oh and yea i do!

  • Check out the video called Wind Turbine Noise Levels 106dbs Yes, They Do Make Noise. Then click on the video responses. It is clear from the data and the video examples that they do indeed make noise. The noise study uses manufactures information. The turbines being considered are GE 1.5 MW or Suzlon 2MW both of which are listed as in the range of 103-106dbs for the purposes of the noise study.

  • Be sure that tell the contractors when they come to install them that you are gonna shoot them with your boom stick.... People like this are what forces humans to use fossil flues....

  • Think of the world 100 years from now.The children will see the turbines as normal everyday things. They will breath fresh air and drink clean water.Think of them not us.;o) "If future generations are to remember us with gratitude rather than contempt,we must leave them something more than the miracles of technology. We must leave then a glimpse of the world as it was in the beginning." President Lyndon Johnson.

  • Yes "not in my back yard" is exactly right. It is pure selfishness to consume electricity with no thought to those who have to live with the consequences. So you have a few wind turbines nearby, well aren't you the lucky ones. Fancy moving to Sellafield now do we??

  • @TheFlange666

The proposed site is also going on green belt land which is needed for the area as it already has 2 incinerators, one of Europe's biggest industrial works, a power station on the other side of it, and a motorway going right through it. Green energy is all very good but to put it in such a location is madness.

  • Sign the petition? Erm.... No.

This is simply a case of 'not in my back yard'. It also has all the hallmarks of bored individuals who have nothing better to do with their otherwise worthless and futile lives.

Oh, and to LairyLandlubber, caveat emptor!

  • I vote we campaign to have a nuclear power station built just outside Frodsham since you are so opposed to wind farms. How about that then?

  • Ok so you get a letter through your door - "We need to build more power stations, one will be built near your home. Choose :

    a) Nuclear Power plant

    b) Wind farm

    Regards

    The power masters"

So you go for option (a) do you? Fools!

  • We fighting yet against this foolishness.

    We are with you

  • 4 turbines is nothing , we have 454 turbines here. they dont bug me.

  • According to the manufacturer, the noise level outputs from the most common 1.5-2MW wind turbines are all in the 103-106db range. The noise levels will vary over distance with terrain, wind direction/speed,and can be heard up to a mile away.Check out"Wind turbine noise levels-106db-yes they do make noise" for manufacturers information.

  • the noise should be nearly like a refrigator....its not too much

  • I've just moved into Overton from Liverpool m8, and wasn't aware of this ridiculous proposal which'll spoil one of the most beautiful areas in Cheshire. So thanks for the warning - I'll sign up at the paper shop - and I'm with ya if any direct sabotage is needed!!!

  • oooh yeah, arn't you happy to be able to control all your household appliances and lights with the flip of a switch? And where does that power come from? From fossil fuels imported from other countries. It's your cash going overseas, and the emissions, they go into your lungs, is that better? May god rid the world of fools like you.

  • If you are going to call people fools, maybe you should get your facts straight. I think you are confusing electric power vs auto power. In Texas, the vast majority of electric power is generated from coal, nuclear and gas. 96% coal from U.S., 100% nuclear from U.S., and 84% natural gas from U.S. (95% of natural gas imports come from Canada not overseas). If you don't want your money going overseas, don't buy a wind turbine!

  • "Oooh yeah arn't" you a clever, articulate, witty little bastard indeed ... not! Have you forgotten that it's fossil fuels that power your PC while you're jacking off over midget porn and the Villgae People? They should build the windfarm next to your fuckin trailer and see how you like it dickwad!

  • well as a matter of fact, my pc is run by two, yes count em two, hydro dams, and if watter is a fossle fuel, then that is news to me, so if you think that NOISE,is a worrse polutant, than CARBON, you need to read some books,
