Hi Chris. Thanks for another video that makes you think! We have the same views on historic sites. I have come to realize that without funding many places are torn down in order to sell the land or worse sold off and "restored". When I see ANY fixing up beyond trying to stop decay I cry. Buildings must be left AS IS. No guessing of whats old or new for me thank-you. Take Care.
This is very sad Chris, there aren't enough of these old places left. I'm glad however, that you were able to record activity there before the demolition started. There must be countless opportunities lost due to redevelopment. Of course, sites will always be redeveloped as money for land changes hands etc. The preservation of important sites has obvious benefits too, but it is so rewarding to chance upon a place of history that is virtually forgotten and left to nature.
Thanks Chris - another great video - so sad that more of our heritage is being lost every day (Lest we Forget eh?). I find it intriguing that the human eye can often detect things that todays modern video / camera technology misses. Is it a failure of the technology or, as I am more inclined to think, our mental interpretation from one of our, now dormant, senses?
@Hummadruz : Hi Dave. In my opinion modern technology still has a long way to go to match the ability of the human mind. But some scientists rather than face and deal with the issue prefer to consign the adaptability of the human brain with opinionated excuses rather than fact.
I have news for you, my friend. There have been hundreds, if not thousands of bases, camps, posts and airfields abandoned or destroyed since WWII. There were installations used during the Korean and Vietnam wars as well, and we are walking away from places in Iraq and Afghanistan in current times. Don't forget Clark Air Base in the Philippines. Such is the way of the world.
@GiacomoC Well that`s really my point. If they destroy all of these places, those that are clinging to life should be spared if not for their rarity value.
I agree 100% Chris, my grandfather was in the RAAF during the war & my dad was in the RAAF cadets, so yeah there would be so much history in these buildings; very sad indeed!
Beside the bunker the only reason that they won't pull the hangers down is because they can still be used + cost of doing so; I know that some things have to change, even if the owner's let you & others in to film & photograph the place before its pulled down, at least we will have a glimpse of what was! Cheers.
@anzac2404 Hi Wayne:) I don`t think these people are motivated by anything other than profit. But if I can capture these places as a record, they can be shared for posterity.
@Constantine99999, I've always admired how the English have managed even in these times to hang onto so much history & yet they still find items from as far back as pre-roman times; it seems the good old pound isn't worth what it used to be, as I see in the news that your PM has decided to get busy with the axe...not good mate!
*You never got back to me in regards about $ donations? I was wondering about putting something in, after all, its good to give back to those who do so much!
@b1p0l4rt : It is a terrible shame but some people think only in the short term and disregard a building which one day would have fascinated future generations.
@survivor303 : This question has cropped up previously on another video. I process these videos in MP4 format otherwise it would take hours to upload unfortunately with no guarantee of success.
i enjoyed a lot t his video.... and I "liked" it.... but i have one little request... i cant understad very well the british english, so i didnt understand some words....
Chris i actually nearly shed a tear when i saw the title. Are they seriously gonna knock the whole thing down? The one place that we captured the best evidence of paranormal activity ever is gonna be wipped out. The Bunker!!!!! Im actually quite sad.
@seanyboy1982 The demolition was separate to the fate that will soon behold hanger 2 and the bunker. That has been ordered for 2011 by the E.U, and they want to construct a giant waste incinerator. Our only hope is that the E.U folds sooner rather than later as it surely will mate.
@R3alitySh0ck : Whilst I agree with you your sentiments concerning this persons viewpoint, he/she is entitled to live in their own opinions regardless of whether we think they are right or wrong. One day we will all find out for ourselves.
@buidseach That`s your opinion. Try looking to find out for yourself and not be deluded by an opinion that clearly has no understanding of the paranormal.
a question( im from sewden) does the soldiers who died over germany come back to the airfields someway? b,cause my grandpa died in a place called "småland" in sweden but appeared to be in my house in stockholm( 136 miles away).
@svensk1krona They can visit all places that were connected with them in their life but some ghosts are restricted to 1 place bicouse unfinished busines or yust being evil and bad Constantine what do u think ?
@000CODE000: I think you are right. Some are trapped whether or not they realise they have passed over, whilst others return to visit old memories and lost friends.
@svensk1krona when you die. would you want to stay in the place that you died in or want to go to the place that made you happy. Me, as a spirit, id go back home.
@svensk1krona The last place on terra firma is often where their connection is to a mortal life that has long since passed them. And of course, where their friends are.
Aww Chris, what a shame. You know how I feel about these, some of your best investigations. It's so sad to see what little regard, what little respect the "leaders" of today have for our mutual histories. What a shame...
Thanks for letting us see what is going on. Try to see if you can contact any of the spirits from there.Oh we call them quonset huts. Many were turned in to homes after the war. Near where I live one is still in use as a year round home on a lake. :)
This is intresting yah they look forgott-...why is there a face on the wall...dang that place was ransacked..(who the hell would destroy a toilet) o.o why is it being alliterated :(..well since its a bunker there has to be atleast one ghost..if they'ed dissapeared its good you got it on tape befor it got eliminated
@hinata077 : These buildings were left deliberately to be vandalised so that it will hasten their legal removal. The site is earmarked as an `industrial estate`.
@Constantine99999 oh heheh sorry im not a sensable person (i really couldnt listen to all of the details correctly since well i get distracted) ....when are you gonna try to tape you ghost in your house again..the one that looked angelic..i so wish you could catch it on tape
