not sure if I understand this....I have a ps2 and the actual TMBO disc...its blue. But, if I download thisXLink on my pc.....how can I run thr TMBO game thru the Xlink when I am using a ps2?

@canadiens5 All Xlink Kai does is take your game's LAN mode and trick it into thinking people across the internet are on your Local Area Network (LAN). To make it work you need to port forward port 30000 to your PC.

@MsMuriloS Google: Snesorama or ProjectBlacktower. You have to either have a full modded ps2 or a ps2 slightly modded with a swap magic disk. Swap magic disks for for about 20 usa dollars but than you can get every game for free. Send me a msg if you need more info or help.

@vietkid977 You talking about Xlink Kai? I think you must mean if the arena mode of xlink kai it shows question marks for the player counts? That is a known bug. IT doesnt affect you playing the game. That error happens randomly depending on what server you get connected to.

does a ps2 with twB support lan(system link), that would be the only way id see my self playing this, multiplayer! i have twisted metal 2 for pc which supports up to 8 player lan so i would assume this did aswell? i dont really play consoles so info would be appretiated

@bawllastyles Yes twisted metal black online has a LAN mode. That is how the match was played online in this video. We used a LAN tunneling program called Xlink Kai to play the game online. Just make sure you get the "Twisted Metal Black Online" disc. It is a separate disc from the singleplayer game "Twisted Metal Black".

@anteroXBash No you do not have to pay. Xlink Kai is a free LAN tunneling program you can download to your PC. It is what lets you play tmbo online still even though the game's online servers have been taken down. A link to xlink kai's homepage is in the video description below the video.

@ESAR909 As I already said to anteroXBash, the online servers for this game are down. You cannot play it online normally. However, since the game has a LAN mode you can download a LAN tunneling program like XLink Kaito your PC. Then you can still play this game online because the LAN tunneling program tricks the game into thinking people across the internet are playing with you on your LAN.

@SeizureBassist You can use many other normal ps2 games to setup your ps2 games for online. The network setup disc is what originally came with the network adapters for the fat ps2s. I will pm you a list of other ps2 games that will allow you setup your ps2 online. I do not konw if this works with split screen for LAN. You can only play this online still through the LAN mode and a LAN tunneling progam like XLink Kai.

@HailStoneHSS We have not played this game in a little bit, but there are 3 or 4 people I know that would love to get back into this game again. Also, this game supports Bots in LAN mode so it can still be fun with 2 people. Plus getting a network adapter will let you play other ps2 online games and ps2 games that are able to be LAN tunneled with Xlink Kai.

if you don't like the controls then you can use a program called xpadder to make the keyboard work with the controller and you can set the controls up the way you want

@DWIWindsands Well if you read the video description you will see that this game is still playable online through LAN tunneling. This video was of a game played online through that method. I never actually got to play this game online when its servers were still up.
