Hell, he beat The Rock, Kane, Batista, Hogan, Sting, and even Hitman!

As for Goldberg, yes, he had creative control too soon in his career. And from time to time, he came across as a mark for himself. But hell, if I was a wrestler, and I didn't have to spend my first two years in the business putting everyone else over, it might go to my head too.
The real money match would be Austin vs. Goldberg but it never happened and won't. Goldberg and Austin are friends in real life too. Austin retired at WM 19 in 03 so that pretty much killed any hope.

Ya know what makes the spear look so good? The Rocks wild ass acting. hehehe... If you ever see the Rock getting hit by a big move, his reaction to it is always WAAAAAYYY over the top.
One time, when he got The Stunner put on em by Austin, I swear, he did a flip and a handstand! it was awesome.

Goldbergs an amazing wrestler.. the guys handle is to be a monster not 2 run around with 100 lines and catchy phrases.. the industry wanted an undestructable monster... Not only that.. he can perform in the ring.. he's strong his tosses his throws.. he's an amazing athlete.. i remember him in his early matches he would do back flips and shit.. he's just a monster.. no words needed for his script..

Don't get me wrong: I like Bill Goldberg. I just wish he was allowed to have more 10-minute-plus matches during his WCW and WWE runs, since I know there's a lot more to him than just a few power moves.

just to clear things up for some. it wasn't that goldberg sucked in wwe, it was because wwe didn't really have anything for goldberg to begin with. yes goldberg vs. rock was good, as was goldberg vs. HHH, but they played that one too long.

As for Goldberg, yes, he had creative control too soon in his career. And from time to time, he came across as a mark for himself. But hell, if I was a wrestler, and I didn't have to spend my first two years in the business putting everyone else over, it might go to my head too.

The real money match would be Austin vs. Goldberg but it never happened and won't. Goldberg and Austin are friends in real life too. Austin retired at WM 19 in 03 so that pretty much killed any hope.
