@imanipie000024 and @Mercercg I've been told you don't need to cut the cord; that mom will take care of it.... but, we were being extra careful since this was the first pup and... we wanted to make sure everything went perfectly smoothly. : )
Mom & Pup's are doing incredibly well as witnessed by "Vanda dominates couch" and other videos. : )
@micalikepurple actually, mom eats the placenta -- which I've been told has a lot of nutritional value. One other reason it to protect the baby: You can do a google on "Do_animals_eat_their_babies_placenta" for more info.
As a vet tech and breeder of Huskies, I have never had to handle a pup that much. In fact I have a hands off rule unless something is wrong. And I have never lost a pup or mom. I guess I am old fashioned and I prefer to let nature take its course. However from years int eh business I can tell you, the humans got involved because they wanted to feel connected and cut the cord and witness the miracle of birth, all of which I understand. MY dog would have sent them home bleeding.

@micalikepurple Animals eat the placenta for the nutritional value but also hormones in it stimulate milk production
