I have watched many instructional videos + been taught in my local gym how to deadlift, its can be really bad for your back if you do it wrong (which this guy is) + many other comments are stating he is doing it wrong. And your comment on "have i lifted bla bla bla" If he cant lift that weight with proper form he should NOT be lifting it. You will get more benefit using perfect form and a lower weight opposed to what he is doing.

@bobboheads The crossfit part of the work out is metabolic conditioning, basically cardio.. I've been doing crossfit since I was 2009 and a workout like that is equivalent to a certain amount of cardio.
Any tips for home exercises besides gym? Trying to do some small workouts when I don't have the time to go to the gym. I don't have dumbells or stuff like that though

@TeenIronMan He probably is trying to get his heart rate up, in a short workout, to burn more calories, after eating all that crappy food. That weight is light for him and his body is used to it. He isn't trying to gain a bunch of mass because he already has that. It's not bad to go through a workout fast, although I do agree there should never be any jerking motion, but I didn't see much of that anyway.
BTW, Pete you really looked like you needed a rest:) I almost expected you to puke during the workout:D you didn't look so good, bro:) but your form was still pretty good, congrats on that.
TOOL fuck yeah, I would do better on any exercise, with at least 10 pounds more weight if they played such awesome music in the background. My gym plays shitty radio stations, all i hear is lady gaga, rihanna, black eyed peas, pitbull, jlo and whatever else there is... I HATE IT. That shitty, uninspired 'music' doesn't give you any motivation.
With that form in deadlifting you gonna have some problems along the way. Bouncing is a no go... but i'm not that big of a fan of crossfit. As long as everybody stays healthy. Better than being a couch potato at least.

Good advice. I have been adviced to do the same thing - lift iron in a controlled manner, maximising tension in the appropriate muscles that are used in each exercise. then again I'm a beginner, so who am I to advice anyone? :)
