  • You have an amazing vocal range. Just, wow.

Not to mention completely beautiful, you blend with yourself so well. (lol)

  • Dude, how old are you? Sorry if being nosey, but................You help give this next generation a GOOD name. :) "Amazing" really doesn't do this justice............there are no words.......Keep up the great work!

  • @Coolnerdloser haha it's fine. I'm 19. I'm glad you like it :)

  • That was beautifully brilliant!

  • Professional organist/choirmaster here, and I'm amazed! I can't imagine the amount of time and effort went into this! Thanks!

  • @Organgrinder1010 Wow, I think I'm more amazed that you're an organist.. That's impressive.

  • would be better if it melded more smoothly..but very good

  • that is incredible talent and range!!!! i will definitely share this to my friends!!! keep it up! ^.^

  • incredible range!!!!!!! i will share this with my mom, she will love it!!!! amazing talent exists in that voice. keep it up. ^.^

  • Wow!! I’m astounded by your vocal skill! I’m a musician myself, I sing (primarily Tenor I), play alto sax, and piano, and I love A cappella music! It’s difficult enough doing it with a choir, let alone with yourself with 32 or so tracks! This is amazing! All of your vie does are very impressive! Keep doing more! :D

  • Love the song and your rendition! great job! :D

  • I can't stop watching your videos! O.O I stumbled across your cover of Hide and Seek and now I'm hooked. I love your voice!

  • @Babycakezz18 thank you! don't forget to share :)

  • @WalJoseVelasquez I'm glad you can spell "like" your commentary is no longer needed, Kthanksbye! :)

  • TALENT!

  • This is Soooooo Good! Great Job!

  • This chorus...their blend is so good and harmonies are so tight!!! It's almost like they sing as one person!!! :)

    Seriously now: nice job, man!

  • I think this arrangement is very contemporary but your performance has traditional feeling.

    Great voices construction!

  • Gorgeous! Is your score available for sale anywhere? So beautiful!

  • @tajalice It's not actually my score. This is arranged by Stan Engebretson

  • My dad really loved this song. I wish I could have shown him your version while he was still alive. Thanks for making this.

  • @SalamiSlim you're very welcome

  • Great job! Keep them coming!

  • Awesome interpretation of a classic song. I love the harmonies you chose.

  • Awesome interpretation of a classic song. I love the harmonies you chose.

  • @cornbagel This arrangement wasn't written by the performer here... It's wonderfully sung, though. Did you use auto-tune, if I may ask?

  • The intonation was spot on, and everything tuned wonderfully, which is fantastic to hear on youtube. Great job.

That being said, it was a bit tonal, and I think your vowel shapes could improve, which would truly put this among some of the best choral videos on youtube. So, all in all, good job, and I hope you make more.

  • perfect. so perfect that such perfection should be illegal. dear lord...

  • Still waiting for cloning machines to be developed, so i can hear this live!

  • @nillor0 that'd be awesome!

  • wow, nice voice, nice interpretation. i don;t see how u could improve on this one...keep going

  • You are extaordinary! America's got talent? No; they haven't found YOU!

  • @stone412 haha well maybe if you share this someone will find me :)

  • One of my favorite songs, very nice arrangement. And you did a good job with it.

  • i love this video and this song. can anyone tell me what program he's using that lets him put all those videos together?? iv been trying to find it forever but i cant.

  • @MrCricket0277 I use final cut pro for video and logic pro for audio

  • This is really nice, good job :) You have a great voice.

  • For pete's sake, give the arranger credit!

  • @fizzle90272 I did. it's in the video description at the bottom. You should start reading the descriptions before commenting on multiple videos with the same complaint

  • man on the right was definitely better

  • This is truly impressive sir. I really hope to see more from you

  • I just don't get anyone disliking this. I haven't read all of the comments, but there are always a few that do it for no reason. This guy is extremely talented. There are not many that could sing an arrangement like this.. by him self! For the dislikers, criticizers, I'm waiting to see something better from you. I'm sure it's not going to happen. Keep it up danwright32, you are simply amazing!

  • damn dude ur good i clicked the subscribe button already

  • Outstanding job. I hope you don't let the negative get to you. Some people just feel the need to pick things apart even when there is no chance in hell they could do any better.

  • Very Nice

  • Your tempo is really up to you, no matter what, it's artistic licence. However, if you were to really want my only main criticism, you pronounce Scarborough strangely. Anyone from England would pronounce it as "Scar-bruh", especially us locals. In the song, almost everyone says "Scar-buh-ruh". Apart from that, it's awesome and well done :)

  • @trumpettomhurst yeah, I know that that is the correct pronunciation. but in the arrangement the word was separated into 3 syllables, sometimes with a different note for each syllable, so I couldn't say it as 2.

  • @danwright32 Hey dude what program did you use to record your video and audio.

  • @VIDEOSwithZACH final cut pro for video and logic pro for audio

  • @danwright32 .. LOVE IT MAN!~! WHere did you get the arrangement of this song? Did you do it yourself?

  • @phanjazm thank you! This is by a man named Stan Engebretson (not 100% sure on the spelling)

  • the great vocals and awesome range you possess aside, this is an outstanding arrangement!!

    Thank you, very much enjoyed!

  • Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!! :-)

  • Not bad man, this is really good! most people artists that sing this song mess it up, but you made it sound as awesome as the original!!! great job!!

  • great sound... i like it

  • The last note.....pure Ecstasy.

  • great blend and overall sound but it seems slightly too wide but that just may be my obsession with round vowls.......... Do not take this as bashing you have an amazing voice.

  • I love the blend of voices. Outstandingly performed!

  • awesome

  • Well executed, mate!

  • wow this is incredible!!! and at first i thought you were saying, "are you going to starbucks"

  • My Science teacher's name is Mrs. Scarborough...

  • Fantastic. You are a very skilled young man long may you entertain us.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I love a cappella and this video really made my day!

    keep 'em comin' :)

  • schizophren??This is awesome art.

  • Great Vocal ,tempo great love to hear more of your stuff. FT

  • awesome man! I LOVE that you take technology---combine it with the arts---and commit so much time--to your passion! The result== ROCKS! You've done aLOT to contribute to aLOT of people's joy!!!! Thank you!

  • spot on.

  • This is amazing. Very cool sound! Great voice! Interesting arrangement/harmony! Always in tune! I was particularly impressed that you enunciated and kept up with yourselves on the really fast part at the end. The only thing I would change about this is your vowels. Considering this song has celtic roots, please don't sing it like an American with a retainer. :( Otherwise, LOVE IT, MAN! Keep up the fantastic work!

  • how many parts are there for this version?

  • @leetfeetman I don't remember off the top of my head, but I think it was 6?

  • @danwright32 It's 8. 1's and 2's of Tenors, Leads, Baries, and Basses.

  • @TheEstevan11 haha oh yeah… I've been working on so many different songs lately I couldn't remember

  • Very good pitch, but the vowels/tone kind of got to me. Had the same opinion on your Rendition of Eric Whitacre's "Sleep". Otherwise, bravo, good sir!

  • you know ive seen this video like 20 times. not to sound like a stalker, but this is a really fantastic song, and this is such a good version. well done man

  • Simply... impressive.

  • Great singing! And a fine, fine, fine tempo! Congrats!

  • Holy Shit..... Your voice is amazing.... the fact that 32 tracks.... thats crazy...

  • 32 tracks? mazing man!

  • likin the forte at the end men. after the whole split up near the end. the finish really blows it away

  • Wow..... is all I have to say. I've watched three of your videos so far and all three have given me goosebumps! Great job!!

  • Way too fast

  • @amWinRAR I really wish people would stop commenting just to tell me there feelings on the tempo. It'd be different if you had a comment on my singing as well (good or bad). But the tempo is a personal choice that I feel works for the song and I stand by it

  • 8 voices in each section? so 32 voices? which means you recorded this a buttload of times @.@ kudos to you dear sir... erm on the side note you began to speed up nearing the end of the song... but other than that this was well done I applaud you

  • this deserves more views!

  • Dude this is awesome!

  • This is too cool sir!! :D...

  • Did you use pitch correction? Sounds like it.

  • @jqd5 nope :)

  • @danwright32 chuck testa ))))))))))

  • Absolutely magnificent! The harmonies are superb (well done Mr Engbretson) and your intonation and dynamics are spot on.

  • I can play this on piano :D

  • Did you arrange this? If so...double...no...triple wows!!!

  • @marthamclain no I wish. It was arranged by Stan Engebretson

  • @danwright32 Well...triple wows, anyway, Dan!

  • @danwright32 wait, really? he conducts at the church i go to

  • @Esuohretep yup, that's what it said on the sheet music ^_^

  • Your really good..i was in band we couldnt even get in tune most of the time and your doing it 32 times..very awesome dude...

  • I thought it was SCAR-uh-BOO... haha, I WAS WRONG.

  • incredible....make me a cd? ill pay!

  • @lmorgee5 haha maybe :)

  • And to answer your question, i have a twitter account also: iChrisg2009

  • You did a good job man.... 1 observation... VOWELS. Luckily, because you stay consistent with your vowels the chords were locking, but if you had better "ah" vowels and "ee" vowels they would ring even more. Think a bit more vertical so you can create those overtones. Great job man.

  • bravo bravo, vuoi pure l'applauso?

  • @parduccistain I'm sorry I only speak English...

  • @danwright32 Bravo bravo, i want applause is the english translation.

  • @Jerseysson27 ahh thanks! I thought that was the gist of it but I wasn't sure

  • And one other request, can you also do: Prayer of the childen?

  • @Jerseysson27 unfortunately I have too many videos lined up right now to take requests but I'll keep these in mind

  • man i wish i could sing like you!!!!!

  • are u going to starbucks fair lol

  • Can you do "The sound of silence"?

  • @Jerseysson27 I'll look into it

  • really amazing...next step is to develop breathing skills so that u hold that tag for an extra few seconds which'll make this priceless

  • its all very good :) the one thing i have to say is try to either back off the baritone in a couple parts and slow down!!!

  • Barbershop? I don't think so :)

  • Marry me now?

    Kthanks.

  • Dude...BREATHE!!! And...SLOW DOWN! >.>

    Other than that...thumbs up! :)

  • AHHHHH! I love your voice! :D

  • Arranged by Stan Engebretson :)

  • @daniscool99 thanks Danny!

  • Damn.

  • ahhh, this is AMAZING! i can't stop listening to it. how long did it take? if you're anything of a perfectionist like i am, it must have taken a LOT of patience to record, haha...

  • @adrisaurus haha yeah. it takes a lot of patience and time to do these

  • It would be funny if at the end all the faces looked at and complemented each other ;-0

  • @sexywildlad haha I might use that ^_^

  • Okay I just have to say....that bass gives me goosebumps every time! Great job!

  • @zimmerdudet wait'll you hear the bass in my next chorus video ;)

  • @danwright32 Haha I'll have to look out for it! I think im gonna give a crack at this this weekend except it have to be a girls piece because sadly i don't have the equipment to hit bass notes. I'm thinking seal lullaby since it is one of our all state pieces here. Thank you for the inspiration! :)

  • @zimmerdudet thats fine! I much prefer it when girls do girls pieces rather than fake the bass notes with a pitch shifter. my philosophy is that if you can't hit the notes naturally, you shouldn't be doing it.

you should shoot me a link when you upload it :)

  • @danwright32 Sure will. And i totally agree. It takes away the magic if faked. Anyone can fake it.

  • Wonderful! I would call this "Madrigal" singing, though, not Barbershop.

  • Holy... O_O WOW! What talent!

  • I can't stress how awesome this is! So pitch perfect and creative!

  • Amazing!!!! My new favorite multitracker!!! Your are popping out overtones even on the unison parts!!!!

  • that was awesome! only 682 views?

  • not quite barbershop, but great work nonetheless!

  • I've always loved this song. You did a great job!

  • Oh i love Scarborough Fair!! And you sing it so well. You are very blessed to have such a talent. Keep up the good work! :)

  • Fantastic!

  • As usual, I love watching and listening to your videos. You are a talented genius. I hate this song, in part because I have no idea what it means. You made it bearable. :)

  • @BrianSokoloff well I suppose that all I can ask for. I'm glad you tolerated it ;)

  • @danwright32 I just tried to send you a link but it didn't work. What am I doing wrong?

  • @BrianSokoloff I think youtube doesn't let links in comments… you can message me if you want.

  • Great job again Dan! You never fail to impress.

  • :O Is there anyway you could send me the music?

Or tell me where I can get it?

    Great job, btw!

  • @XxWeccaxX Same here, I'd love to see the sheet music for this as well. ;-)

  • @XxWeccaxX I got the sheet music for this from a friend, so I'm unfortunately not really sure where you could get this

  • I've watched them all. I think this is the best.

  • This is so well done, I love it!

  • Yeah man. This is awesome. I love the change at 2:01. Truly an amazing feat. That one person is stupid.

  • I love this song. You did a great job on all the parts. I wish it were slower, though.

  • do you have the sheet music for this? Or did you transcribe them all by ear? ;)

  • @mrlime I've got the sheet music :)

  • @danwright32 Awesome man! Why did you sing it so fast though? :)

  • @mrlime I just started singing and thats the speed it came out as… by the time I thought I should slow it down I was already too far into the process to start over

  • sakjsasak 1 person doesn't have EARS. I love this!!!

  • Why would someone dislike this? Jealousy really does make people do crazy things... this is amazing!

  • @etherealwinds haha its funny actually. most of my other videos don't even have 1 dislike, and this one (which is personally one of my favorites) has one within the first 30 minutes

  • @danwright32 It's fine to get a few dislikes, subscribers don't have to like everything. ;-) It's just too bad they don't take a moment to say why though.

I really enjoyed this piece and you did an amazing job once again. The timing with 32 tracks is so spot on, it's pretty amazing! I can hardly do that with 4 voices alone.

    Keep it up! ;-)

  • @trudbol thanks Julien! yeah, I don't mind the dislikes, it's when i get dislikes without reason that it bothers me. Although based on the comments it's somebody wishing it was a slower tempo.

and yeah, the timing was difficult, there were many scrapped takes in this video

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
