wow thats a totall lie first of all we beat highland for best musical perfurmance, and we were 1/9 of a point away from them in totall score. so not really

A few things here:

1) I think MrhsBAND13 was taking issue with charleskoheimiller's comment, "Mountain Ridge sucks". This is not true; I have always been impressed with Mountain Ridge's shows. I thought it was awesome that they did a show on Pat Metheny's music this year.

2) Desert Vista actually got the music performance caption at state, not Mountain Ridge

3) MrhsBAND13, don't put other bands down if you don't want people to put your band down.

I thought mountain ridge was good this year. i saw their video from NAU band day, it was really impressive! I never even noticed how big their band was.... but man i was impressed.

This is a really great video. I'm in the Desert Vista band, but even still I appreciate this fabulous show and Highland's win at state. Congrats on that. About the show: Masquerade was my favorite part, I loved "All I Ask Of You" -- the woodwinds sound great, and the soloists were awesome. Good job.

I'm a former Highland band member so i got to watch the state competition from the stands. Desert Vista had an awesome show, and I have to say I was really impressed with all of the bands there. I enjoyed all ten shows and there certainly was a reason the scores were so close. Great job everyone! Congrats on the music caption by the way, that's no small feat.

anyone remember washington high school? they did phantom of the opera 5 years ago and we got superior & stole all captions. thank you highland for putting the other shows down. washington didnt make state this year & i think its cause of the new director.

I'm in Gilbert's band. I've seen everyone of the other nine shows we're up against for state championships, and though I may not like them all, they all have something that makes them worthy of the top ten.

I will say that Mesquite's band got totally hosed, though, and though they're my competition, I and the rest of our band really felt for them.

they did soooo great at ASU Band Day!!! :D I loved it. I was sitting in the front half of the stadium with my other Drum Major! We literally got goose bumps!

Who are your drum Majors? I met one at drum major camp at Skyline. He plays the trumpet, idk names. XD but, it was fantastic! :D

its in supposedly, it is true that Highland tied for first place. i go to that school and know like half of the Marching band, trust me, they tied for first place. and its not surprising that they did cause they are amazing :)
