At around 12 seconds into the video that might be Shirley Shahan Bridges in the white shirt standing beside the the guy in the blue shirt that is next to the guy in the red,white and blue shirt and then walking toward the starting line.

Yes the driver of the amx does liver here loveland he is a long time family friend. Can you belive that gremlin runs that good with a manual transmission! lol

This is the real car. It is owned by a gentleman in Little Rock Ar and driven by Dale Hurley. Shirley Shahan is supposedly at that race and is visible somewhere in this video but I can't make her out.

I was curious about Shirley Shahan also. I watched the AMX's in the day, and she was a nice person, knowlegable racer. I always wondered just where she got to. Is this merely her former car, or is she driving??

Nice video. Shirley Shahan has seen the Drag-On-Lady several times over the years but this was the first time she has seen it race since 1970 when she last drove the car.
