I am proud to be Indian working in field of embedded systems - Thanks Ajay and Bala both of you who studied in both the countries India and USA -> You have given world something very valuable. My inspiration. Thanks to the India for nurturing talent and USA for recognizing quality ppl and giving them opportunity. I am sure trolls who leave racist comments are actually using USB and other technologies like PCI express (graphics card) most of the time.
if it wrent for him we would be stuck with floppys zip disks, and cds. we would even still be stuck with com ports and printer. in fact i jsut can imagine how things would be like without usb so Thank you Ajay Bhatt for Inventing USB. many usb live on forever.

Actually, USB was a clean room reverse engineering job of Firewire for WinTel, Bhatt didn't INVENT anything - they copied a working model from Apple. The whole rockstar thing is an attempt to justify Intel's use of H1Bs to displace native born workers. Too bad, Bhatt 1) wasn't an H1B and 2) didn't INVENT anything new.
Tks Intel , This is what I was looking for . The actor for AJAY in the commercial is good. It is good to hear the real Ajay and not the awful interview on the late show
I use USB in some form or another nearly every day, so thank you Ajay Bhatt, your invention is a major part of my life, allowing me transfer work between home and school, connecting me to the internet and allowing peripherals such as printers and scanners to work.
I think his good looks is the reason why Intel had a stereotypically nerdy-looking actor play the role of Ajay Bhatt. They wanted to say, "THIS guy created the device you use almost everyday."
The reason intel is able to do this is because they do not have to promote their product to the consumer. They have to promote it to the Computer Corporations. Then the computer corp's. promote it to the people. Through this marketing they are strengthening their public image. The average american doesnt care about intel or amd. They just want a PC. However, with this marketing, if they do see intel on a PC they say, "o intel really cares about its people so ill buy that one" because of the ad.
I love the ad concept, and the actual ad is well done. But this video reveals that Intel did NOT use the real rock star. Talk about disillusionment and lack of credibility. I've got to ask, what's wrong with using the real Ajay (or another real star)?
Cheap to produce (reducing maximum technical performance so it can be universal), easy to use (both for users and programmers) standard ? check
Getting IBM, Intel, Microsoft (and several other big companies) to work together ? check
Preventing them from closing the standard to other companies by demanding insane amount of money to use that standard ? check
Upgrading your standard when people and the industry actually need it ? check
The USB team are just our favorite techstars ! :D

BTW, Bhatt came to the US in 1981 ten years BEFORE H1B(1990).

In the Intel Ajay Bhatt commercial, they should've used the real Ajay Bhatt and not that clown.
Ajay is quite handsome.

I'm not sure who is talking. Milli or Vanilli?

I totally agree with you. Why couldn't they use the real Ajay Bhatt in the ad?

Great. But in the "Sponsors of tomorrow" ad, who acted as Ajay Bhatt? Why did't they use the real Ajay Bhatt?

He's a little busy.

I read somewhere that the people featured in those ads were not comfortable acting.
