I tried doing this but two of the screws are stuck, will not come out. I guess an Apple tech in Tx used locktight on it the last time I had it repaired. Any suggestions?
It got stuck and finally I pulled it out. It work fine now, but there is a freaking clicking sound righ where the hard drive should be. Unfortunately, this sound is not consistent and it did not make any noise when I took it to the MAC store. What should I do with this expensive piece of electronic device. Thanks

Hello thanks for the video.....I recently bought a MACBOOKPRO JUST LIKE THIS ONE. I had an small accident by spilling coffen in my bag with my computer insde the case. Unfortunately, the case could not absorb all the coffe and par of it passed to my the left side of my computer where the CD/DV drive is. Somehow the sponge dried up and the disc I had inside did not want to come out.
is there any version of macbook pro that have the hard drive and battery location mixed up? (battery on the right side and the hard drive on the left side)
@Dmully wow, you are completely inappropriate, and about 10 months too late with your advice, realise that 1. You aren't trying to help anyone 2. You are just being a self righteous douche bag
Does taking the case off but nothing else and putting it back on, void my warranty?
SuperComputerdork 2 months ago
@SuperComputerdork - Likely not, but you'd need to check with your warranty provider.

@SuperComputerdork: No, it does not.

@endlesucces - I'd recommend getting the unit professionally diagnosed. It likely needs to be opened up to determine the extent of the liquid damage.

@chieffw when you open the lid, the vents are exposed

It will not void your warranty. Apple shows you how to do it, in their user manual.
