I catch feral cats using a Have A Heart Trap. I get them spayed or neutered and release them where I caught them, that being my property. I don't feed them, but I have made an environment that is friendly for all the wild critters. All it takes is a little water to create a mini-wetland.
These make the best indoor pets. My last feral was a barn cat that became the biggest snuggle monster. She would tap my shoulder after jumping on the back of what I was sitting on to let me know she was there. Sleeping was a problem because every night my head was dirty and needed a cleaning. A typical female, loved shiny things and would walk around with a quarter hanging out the side of her mouth.
I would appear so. But hey... lets face it, in the wild... animals suffer from parasites, infestations and infections all the time. It's just the way it is I suppose. But cats are tough. They have an incredible survival rate and interestingly enough, seem to quite enjoy living in the great outdoors. We have many feral's in our neighborhood and the only reason we don't bring them to the SPCA is because they seem to do quite well on their own.
A little doll! But someone in your area is NOT being responsible with their pets. How many unwanted kittens like this one aren't lucky enough to find their way to your back yard?
Vermin, plain and simple.
