Recommended Acne Treatment Skin Care Products

is salicylic acid better than benzoyl peroxide? I have Burt's Bees acne treatment that has one or two percent, I can't remember, Salicylic acid. I hate acne.

@ToddIngram1000 Honestly, I don't like either! I would say benzoyl peroxide is probably worse than salycyclic acid but I don't like either.

@acneerasingsecrets what if it's combined with a lot of natural stuff. Plus, salicylic acid is taken from Willow Bark, or at least the one I'm using is.

@ToddIngram1000 it's still not ideal, and I personally don't think that salicyclic acid is from natural sources and even if it were it's too acidic to be used directly on the skin w/o the rest of the plant if that make's sense.

@aprilx07x Google "Benzoyl peroxide cancer" and you will find some scientific studies that were done on benzoyl peroxide. It caused cancer in rats (or mice, I forget) which is why I don't recommend it for skincare. It does kill bacteria but so do plenty of other things that don't have the toxic side effects. Our bodies aren't deficient in BP and topical application get's right into the bloodstream so for these reasons I don't recommend it.

@aprilx07x They are both chemicals, they get into your blood stream & circulation which is not healthy for you... and it doesn't balance out the body at all to keep the skin balanced and clear... it's just a temporary topical fix that wont last. It does kill bacteria, but it doesn't stop the body from producing more bad bacteria but the right diet does! I have talked abt hot water expanding, cold water contracting etc... hi, i just want to ask why you say in some of your videos that benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are 'horrible' for your skin? where did you get your info to validate this? i am an esthetician (skin care expert/professional) and have been for 5 years and i have never heard or come across these 2 ingredients as being horrible for the skin. they are reputable and good ingreds. to take care of ance/breakouts. although, they may not be good for sensitive skin, as they can irritate this skin type;

@MrMysticFallVampires You don't need all of them, what would be best would be to use fiberzon & envirozon (watch the magic acne pills video) then to use one facial cleanser and toner/moisturizer after that. I recommend the just natural skincare soap and moisturizer that I talk about here... links are in the "show more" section to the moisturizer and soap.

Hello there once again, how interesting Really, I have the exact same aztec facial clay that i've been using for quite a bit now. It is really efficient, but it just seems like I can't control my acne, I've been using fiber to cleanse my colon but i will keep getting a pimple or white head 1 per week atleast.. I cant say I have a healthy diet, although I stay away from sugar..Apart from that, what would you recommend me?? I see you cure your acne in 1 week.. Thanks David!!

@enestaLIFE the clay is great, the apple cider vinegar is great... Also you have to make sure to have a healthy nutritious diet as well as drinking more water too. I also recommend that you try the secret acne cleanse out as well... (You can get this free on my fan page) Hope this helps!

@freddy131994 I got my acne when I was about 12 or so and had it till like 17/18... I tried conventional acne treatments and products for years and saw no results but when I started focusing on my diet, used natural skin care and took some supplements my skin really cleared up within a week.

@cmgarm check and see if it has unnatural sounding ingredients thats the best initial test some might be better than others but most are bad. especially watch out for SLS, benzoyl and salicylic acid

I just have an additional question what goes first the cleanse or the vinegar? then after the vinegar I do the mask like every day or every other day? @keonda4ever apple cider vinegar, not regular vinegar... Everyone is different so I recommend just starting by trying out each of the products first and then from there using what you feel your skin needs. You may respond to some products better then others so you can use those more often etc... Just feel your skin out and try them first then go from there.

@ROKINROD23 Honestly I don't think so... most of the stuff I really recommend is only online. You'll have to just get it online... You may be able to get a few things offline at your local health food store but that's about it.

@keonda4ever You'll never be 100% sure of anything in life, you have to take risks... That's how you know. Start with 1 or 2 things and once you see results you can get more! I only tried one thing at a time. There are a few companies that you can spend 30-50 bucks at just start with a smaller order and then see how that goes. You have to take risks to get results.

@benkaspick Apple cider vinegar is probably the best toner I know about... It works really well but you have to wash it off after because it has a distinct smell to it.

@SunKissedBeauty09 Your welcome, you want to rinse it off... I would spray it on and let it dry then let it sit for about 5 minutes then rinse it off. It's kind of a toner but smells appley and vinegary! so I would leave it on for 15 mins or so then rinse off. Or like I do sometimes is put it on a few minutes before I go in the shower and then in the shower the smell washes off while i'm scrubbin! thanks for the question :)

The only one's I have seen are the aztec clay and apple cider vinegar at my local health food store but otherwise the companies are online so that's where you'll have to get them if you want them. Little question : if you use apple cider vinegar by Bragg, how many times should I use it every day? Right now, I drink 2 teaspoons in a glass of water 3 times a day (morning - afternoon - late evening).

Thanks for the informative post. I like the Sibu oil (soap - not as much) and use it as a moisturizer and either alternate or combine it with tamanu oil. Used sparingly, the latter is very moisturizing, healing and its anti-bacterial properties help to prevent acne. Caveat: tamanu is extracted from a nut so only use if one is not allergic to nuts.

first of all, thank you SO much for doing this!! so helpful! i already own the aztec clay & the sibu stuff, but i find that soap rly drying, and the oil doesnt seem to heal my acne. will definitely check out the mud & the just natural stuff. i also bought sangre de drago from a company called amazon therapeutics, but i cant use it cuz it smells absoulutely horrid and leaves this gross brown residue on my skin, so im thinking i got a bad batch, is the company you recommended any different? thx:)

I don't use a lot of those, as it's often hard to get them, but the last products I really wanna get is fiberzon and envirozon. I'm stuck with cetaphil and benzoyl peroxide in my closet though, I first thought of giving them away, but they are horrible products :P

I had to pay 40 euros taxes for the acne.org treatment, I don't even use it, but if I meet the owner of the website, I'll give him a slap :)

Fiberzon & envirozon are great for internal cleansing... You aren't stuck with anything in your closet if you throw it out! That's what I did when I found out what these products had in them! LOL your funny, yeah the whole BP acne treatment isn't even worth attention b/c it's BP!
