  • does this come with esc and motor

  • and what gearing

  • hehe I have a darky with a 7700 mamba max its fast as all get out but my run times suck giant pecker..it seems like its only crazy fast 4 like 5 minutes .I prefer my nitros over my electrics. a nitro truck was the first RC I owned so Im a lil biased I guess.I also have a durga with an hpi flux 5700(castle creations sidewinder) its fun too but my run times suck..what kind of times are u achieving with your rig? can u suggest a good lipo for me? Im using 4700 mah nimh and they are not cutting it

  • Thats the fastest 2s ive seen, damn

  • what sort of run times are you getting with this set up and have you broke many parts?

  • this is a toy compared to a losi 8ight or similar buggy.. i have not had this buggy in over year.

  • HOLY F***!!!

  • I´ve got a dark impact too but only with a team orion havok 15x2. But i want to buy a brushless set for it. I´ve got a slipper in mydark impact but ist a mamba max with more than 6 cells to hard for that chassi or can i do a 3s lipo into it?

  • I'm sure you could fit one but you would be very limited mAH to make it fit in the tray... with that said if you did it would have to be a pretty good pack as well 25c or better iMO to hold up to the amd draw.

  • dam that is quick yeah my slash was fast until the dam motor fried using maxamps 6000 2c2p pack and it was geard 15t pinion 90 spur

  • Oh yeah the info and he said a 2s 6000 mah maxamps lipo.

  • so your running the stock 26/78 gearing on that? so with 3s i should easily be able to run the 26/78? sick!

  • Nice vid m8

  • So cool. But what motor and What baterie. please answer

  • Is it so hard ot firgure out motor when the title says it?

    It's a Mamba Max 5700, I think it's mamba ESC too.

    No idea bout battery.

  • how did you get the actual lipo to fit?

  • The 2s 6000mah maxamps lipo is a perfect fit, for a 3s lipo you need to drop to the 3s 4000mah, other 3s's are just a bit too big. I didn't melt any diff's until I dropped in the 3s and had the ability to hit 70mph :)

  • So with the 3-cell you melted your diff gear.. gosh.. I have that exact mamba motor, and running with stock gearing with no slipper clutch, on a regular 6-cell nimh.. did you have any issues with the 2-cell? I'm slightly worried about breaking stuff, but I'm never going to go above 8.4v on the battery.. did you have any issues?

  • how much was your battery and do you have to buy the charger too?

  • hey bro im just wondering but do you have to do any thing to the tranny to be able to run a mamba or can you do it stock ( with out breaking anything)

  • Hi..would there be much of a speed difference if you used say 2s compared to 2s2p (both same mAH rating)..

Also how much would run time be affected with the above two batteries (in my hypothetical question)

  • can you show me how you rebuilt it with the housing from the front?

  • I was using the maxamps 2s2p 6000, but I have since switched to the maxamps 3s 4000mah OHH MUH GOD it is fast :) 70+ anyway.. ya rear diff melted down like a candle, gotta do the mod and you will be all set.

  • Hey mate, nice ride. I have a DI as well with pretty much all the mods you can get and running a 7700kv Mamba induced with a Max Amps Lipo 6000HV 2S2P 7.4V Pack. I'm a little concerned about the melt down you have mentioned. A friend of mine recommended me getting the MH2 Steel Bevel Gear for the rear gear box, which I can't find anywhere! Would you be able to post a detailed explanation on what you did to overcome this flaw.

    Thanks in advance, Niko =)

  • Buy a front diff housing (thetoyz), buy a set of ceramic nitrade diff balls(towers), buy a new rear diff gear(if needed) Disassemble your rear diff and TOSS the diff housing and the plastic diff spacer(keep all the other parts) Rebuild rear diff using the front diff housing just use the rear diff gear. This will drop in w/o any modifications and you will have 1 bullet proof rear diff!

  • Would you be so kind to add in some links to where I can get all the parts you mentioned. I also have the slipper clutch which works a charm, so all these parts you mentioned will work awesomely with it!

  • HI!...

    stumblinh :

Can you please explain what you exactly did regarding using front diff parts in the rear diff.

    Thanks :

    Neal.

  • I am using the MaxAmps 3s 6500mah pack in my Rustler VXL and about the worst thing that happened to me was the U joint coming apart wich is an easy fix. I have seen tis setup GPSed at over 70mph. with 31/76 gearing. I would assume you are using a plastick or Nylon spur gear. This should be the weakest link preventing problems in the trany or dif. I have stripped several spurs but that's only a $3.00 part and takes about 5 minutes to fix. As for the U joint, it cost me $6.00 and 15 minutes.

  • sirnikolas : Did you ever find the steel bevel gear?

  • I was using the maxamps 2s2p 6000, but I have since switched to the maxamps 3s 4000mah OHH MUH GOD it is fast :) 70+ GPS w/ the dirt hawg buggy tires, 68 with the traxxas anaconda buggy tires.. ya rear diff melted down faster than a lit candle, gotta do the mod and you will be all set.

  • stock in this video. My 3cell came I just GPS'ed myself at 65.2MPH and I am now geared down. Running the slipper w/ 82t spur I think it is. WOW!!!! Melt my rear diff in 10 minutes! I rebuilt the rear diff using the front diff housing and it works TONS better now. That rear diff is a flaw on Tamiya's behalf IMO

  • Hey man, what gearing ratio are you using please? Thanks

  • V. nice stumblin, very nice ;)

I cant really say I think its going to be even remotely controllable with that 3S though :p

  • The lipos are from maxamps dot com, they are the best you can get IMO and for a great price. With the two cell roughly 80kmph, when my 3cell arrives I'm sure I will be pushing 70mph or 100kmph ball park. Thanks!!

  • wow man! do u know how fast he goes in kmph? did u bought that batterypack in a store? or made it yourself ?
