Some similarity, but not much. I don't know if there's a difference between the German version and the English version, but if not, don't say that it's the Gothic soundtrack. Because it wasn't.
@GOTHICforLIFE1 i see the difference. german version is hard, rude whatever you call it. like their talking and language. but english version is soft, kind, effective to heart and ear and however you call it.

Though i doubt it, there are very few cases where they switch soundtracks, depending on the language, like if they changed the language to chinese, you would get a weird mix between gothic soundtrack and chinese music...
ich spiel das auch, die original version. haste ja schön alle schweren stellen rausgemacht und kannst die noch nich ma richtig spieln. nur weil du dann ain paar billige akkorde zusammengehängt hast am schluss und am anfang heißt das noch lange nich dass das gut is.

(trust me, I've heard both... since I'm German, I have the German version and well, heard the English version on Youtube...)
