Two main things can happen after abuse: 1 the person can become introverted. 2 the person becomes extroverted. I think Rihanna just choose the second path in her music.

This is tough to say... But easier since it's not in person...
I was in a VERY abusive relationship as a 12 year old... I was stupid, and decided to date a 15 year old... Anyway, he hit me regularly, cracked a few ribs, broke my jaw, broke my nose, and left bruises where no one could see... He sexually abused me 10 months into the relationship, and quite frankly, I'm scarred for life...
