I am a huge Elton fan, but I have to say, this is the first time I am listening to this song. And I actually lost my words. I found the lyrics on the Internet and I am just reading one verse after another while listening to it, and trying to understand how beautiful it is. Its one of most emotional songs I have ever heard. Bernie did an incredible job. I am amazed.

As a young single mother of two little boys we didn't have much money for entertainment. We did have my stacks of Elton LPs and we would listen to them endlessly. Each boy had his favorite song but this one was "their song". When my oldest son got married last year this was the song we danced to for the mother/ son dance. It may seem like a strange choice to some but it has special meaning for us. I can never listen to this without tears streaming down my face.
when I discovered this truely awesome and amazing performer back in 1985,this song 'touched my musical soul".Elton johns music changed my life forever.I have had the honor of seeing him live many times and he sounds so much better live!!!
I dedicated this song to my Mum when my younger brother was born in 1991. Everytime I listen to the song I remember that day and it still makes me weep. Thanks Elton.
Oh SHit, I couldn't attend that wonderful concert because he had the heart problem that week and he had to postpone the concert few weeks (and it was impossible for me to go on that new date :( . I regret that a lot!
