Arresting someone for "funding the legalization movement" is against Canadian Law. People in Canada cannot be extradited to face imprisonment for their political beliefs. The DEA released a press release from Karen Tandy that explicitly says he was arrested for his political beliefs. It does not say he was arrested for selling seeds anywhere.

This is not about marijuana, it is about the criminal activities of Emery. He committed a crime and tried to circumvent the laws of the US and for that he should be punished. Canadians try and make this about their sovereignty; how ironic since Emery was using Canada to break America's sovereignty by committing crimes in the US, breaking our laws via Canada. Emery is a drug pusher and trafficker not some political prisoner.

I am sure there are people selling marijuana seeds in the US, but selling and possessing such seeds is illegal. If these people are found, they will be charged just like Emery. According to the US-Canada Extradition Treaty, Emery has committed a crime and is to be extradited.
