The Book of Abraham papyri were thought lost in the 1871 Great Chicago Fire. However, in 1966 several fragments of the papyri were found in the Museum of Art in New York, and in the LDS church archives. Upon examination by professional Egyptologists, the papyri were found to be common Egyptian funerary texts, dating to about the first century BC, and not a story of Abraham as Joseph Smith claimed.

you are comparing genes traces based on what people who don't share the same population flow. China Korea and Japan were each found unique gene markers. which would apply to the fact that these countries' population had a constant population flow and were in different geographic areas. comparing that to find a group of people who settled in the new world and population constantly went up and down, then completely reduced. the records stop there and then an amount reduce from the settlers.

What I would really like to see him talk on is how he can be an evolutionary biologist of any sort and believe in the Biblical story of Creation and stay sane. At least Sarah Palin has worked out the dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark. I would love to hear the sort of things he has had to work out.

This guy is ignoring unique populations markers and mDNA research which makes population genetics possible. Even between China, Korea and Japan unique markers exist which allow you to trace different lineages amongst neighboring populations that have shared borders for thousands of years. Claiming you can't find genetic markers to trace lineage for a population that came from the middle east and populated 3 continents is downright hilarious.
