you know, i ask myself what if xbox360 didnt exist. would ps3 bring new look in grahpical achievement? who knows lol... but this pretty much convince me that if developers stop treating ps3 like an xbox360 emulators, we would probably see visually impressive game like this as a norm and consider as eye candy. i could go as far as saying xbox is probably holding back the progress of game development because devs has to work with compressing hd content on an outdated dvd storage device

@xbox360anime Uf kz2 is amazing if you can get used to controls. Kz3 was ok, but not as good as kz2 imo. Mp in kz2 is awsome , long war can usually last up to 3 hours. U2 is must play, U1 is good but second one is amazing. Infamous is amazing as well, also must play. I still haven't played Resistance 3, but I 've played first two resistance games, never enjoyed them as much as some other games.

If someone would like to compare halo reach with killzone that's what i think.

1) Killzone better visuals and more realistic atmopshere

2) Halo Reach more over the top action, and better scenario

3) Gameplay is great for both games with killzone being more realistic (from the point of view that you actually think you are a character, therefore animations are great) and Halo being more intense and addictive.

@paavya If you are talking about multiplayer i don't care for it. If you are talking about the campaign, well there are some enemies that are tough, but the difficulty level of the campaign is just right. Also in killzone enemies need to be shot alot to die. Both games are challenging enough. That's it if you are talking about single player. For multiplayer i don't really care but both games seem to be worshipped by the online community

amazing game but i was really disapointed by killzone 3. the graphics weren't as good, the story was crap, the gameplay wasn't improved in any way, the move controls were a rip off of the conduit and metroid prime 3 but no as good, and the 3d felt like it would melt my eyes

I like the sound from guns. Not like the toy guns from crysis 2. I think sound design (guns) was a total disaster on crysis 2. Every shooter should sound like this, battlefield bad company 2 or Black.

@ClydeE247 Yeah man, Battlefield series are top notch in design sound. I remember watching a dev diary about the designers, The went to some desert and record from zero dozens of guns. When a granade explodes near you really sounds like you are deaf for a while. And yes, i downloaded battlefield 3 faultline trailer (10 mins of gameplay) and was amazing. What about visuals in BF3? i think are better than crysis 2. I don´t agree with Halo sound, never liked any Halo. yet Reach was the best to me.

@laketahoethebest No, Killzone 2 just had more realistic looking graphics, in a way Killzone 3 is almost more cartoon-ish, they look equally great.

it's more what kind of style you like, personally I like KZ3 more but to each his own :)

@SuperMicklovin well 2's maximum video output is 1080i but 3's is only 720p. and the over saturated color pallet in 3 gives the game a less realistic cartoonish feel. 2 had more realistic visuals

Killzone 3 is suposed to use between 95% and 100% of the PS3's power, while Killzone 2 only uses about 60%! You obviously didn't played both! Take a look at Killzone 3. That game has WAY smoother aiming controls, and I don't see anyone calling them, "noob-friendly".

The only reason to make Killzone 2's aiming controls half-broken is to try to make them realistic, but come on; I thought that people played video games to escape from reality, not to embrace it.

I don't get it... i love KZ2, even a bit more than KZ3. I have both :) btw, two underrated shooters, Singularity and Wolfenstein... not super awesome but they are a lot of fun and they change things up.

@gamingrocks100 I mean, this guy admitted that this game doesn't really do anything new for the genre, yet he didn't take points off for that. Yet he gave The Conduit a 6.5 mainly just for being generic. I mean, yeah, it is a lot more generic than Killzone 2 (gameplay-wise), but Killzone 2 looks kinda generic to an extent.

If you ask me, this looks like a CoD game with a Halo-like story (which I hate), amazing graphics, too much gore, less variety, stiff & loose controls, and more robust online.

@bubbleyumpops After playing the demo, I can confirm that he was paid to praise this game in his review. The controls are, by far, the worst I've experienced in any FPS, but he simply shakes them off by saying, "you'll get used to them in no time!" (I most certainly didn't.)

The whole game just feels like a slow, badly-controlled, cover-focussed version of Halo. Which is not a good thing, because I find Halo's gameplay to be very generic. This has emphasis on cover, but it's otherwise generic.

Gameplay wise, those, I would say that it's generic. Gameplay wise, it's pretty much a Doom clone; it's a run-and-gun, no-thought-required shooter.

And I hate how Halo gets praised for things like dual wielding, when older shooters such as GoldenEye already had that before.

@TheMoooingCow1 Apart from online features, I think that every feature that was taken from Halo was something that older shooters like GoldenEye already had.

As for the gameplay, it's a generic, run-and-gun, no-thought-required type game, like Doom. The only thing that was innovative about the gameplay was the regenerating health, but that just makes the game worse (makes it too easy).
