  • @smokinhornsbbq good idea. bad migrane this side. BAD !

  • Damn I dident get to see it cause it won't load up good goin tho youngun don't need a damn sand blaster or tiger paws just burn the oil and crapp outta it with charcoal once or twice then go to cookin that's what I did and mine is made outta one of the little ones like 220 lb I may have gotten skin cancer in Cali .. But not from my lil pit ... That just gave me a good feelin in my belly kudos.......

  • How about getting a cheap sand blaster from HF for doing the inside of the tanks? After you buy a dozen flap wheels youd pay for the blaster and most of the sand would be caught by the tank so you can reuse. Just a tip from an enthusiast in fabrication

  • Thanks for the tips, I'd like to give you one I've learned from building High Power Rocketry. When marking a lenghtwise cut on a cylinder, If you use a piece of angle iron for a straight edge (exposed edges of the angle in contact with the cylinder) you will always be parallel to the cylinder. Would work great for marking your top and bottom door cuts.

  • The next time you cut out a door on a smoker your first cut should be where the hinges go don't cut any more after that first cut weld on the hinges then cut out the rest of the door . it will fit great. I have done this for 20 years its just a short cut to halp you out.

  • it would have been a good video. IF you would put the camera down or Stop moving it around so much.

  • No problem. What part of Texas do you live in? I'm from Houston but live in Austin (Pflugerville)

  • Great video. Only one suggestion. I would use a tripod. One of the main reason is it will be stable and it will also stay in focus. It will help you have both of your hands free to demonstrate. In broadcasting school it was all about the tripod and it helps! All in all love the videos and thanks. I will make a video of mine and post it soon. Thanks for the tips.

  • Thanks for the info! I learned alot!

    Nice Project,

    John

  • Great videos. Gonna watch all of your instructions and maybe try to build one myself. Seriously, great videos.

  • awesome vids man ,one tip i learned on my smoker build is that after you make your first cut at the top of the tank then at that point you weld on the hinges before you cut the three other sides that makes the door easier to line up .

  • great job!
