Recently I came accross a lecture where the speaker said, that there are certain versions that completely takes the word 'wife' out of the Bible and replace it with partners. Good for homosexuals. Should be called the Homo Bible instead of Holy Bible. Further, they changed Peter to Rocky, Barnabas to Barry and so on.

From the perspective of an ordinary Bible believer, all you need is to simply read both the KJV and the new versions and compare it. One will soon recognize even without any 'scholarly' background, the corruptions in the new versions. In essence, what i'm saying is, one need not turn to those so-called bible scholars for an answer to this issue, but this is something that each one of us can do it without the help of any bible scholars.

Older text is MORE reliable; Not corrupted by scribes in Translation. Bottom line is there is NO DEVINE stamp of approval of the "perfected" English bible complete in 1611. CASE CLOSED. KJV Onlyist would rather die in their ignorance. The KJV will go the way of the Geneva which proceeded it. Just on the basis of the English language haven evolved in 400 years is reason enough for modern versions. You just go ahead and continue your "translation worship."

Well if older is better then the Textus Receptus wins. The Peshitta Bible which is written in Aramaic is 100% from the TR. It was written about 200 years before the corrupt Sinaiticus and Vaticanus. Sorry but, CASE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!

Christ stated that He would send the Holy Spirit, so we don't need Bible scholars at all. The fact that the newer versions attack Jesus who is the WORD of God, should be a clue to those with discernment. The Bible is called the Word of God as is Jesus. An attack on the Bible is an attack on Jesus.

Glad there are people who recognize that the King James Bible is the only true Bible.

But many Christians and non Christians are unaware of it, a lot of them think there is only "one Bible".

Least where I live anyway.

lol good on you! I threw my NKJV in the bin and got myself a 1964 edition of the KJV, very old and musty and stinks but I wouldn't trade it for the world!
