  • waouuuuuuuuuuuuuu ziggy toute une époque!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! comme beaucoup j'aurais voulu y etre (trop jeune) STAR

  • off my favorite album ever. genius.

  • 4.25: last human to touch Ziggy Stardust

  • 4.25: last human to touch Ziggy Stardust

  • @Hinril haha- well, to be fair it was Ziggy's last concert :D

  • ziggy stardust ftw !!!

  • I went to his Ziggy Stardust concert in Japan (fourth row from the front!) This was the last song of the concert before encore. What a concert! He really changed my life. I have been to many concerts, but to this day, nothing beats his concert. I wouldn't be what I am now if I hadn't gone to his concert in 1973.

  • OMG i would give anything to go back in time and go to this last Ziggy concert!!!!!

  • @moeismyfriend I did me and a mate used mushroom's though not a machine but it worked hehehhhe

  • @Hinril Well, it WAS the last live performance of the Spiders From Mars, I believe. Mick, Aynsley, and Woody weren't with him from this time forward.

  • Ty for posting. This is like having a time machine and going back to 1973. I saw this tour in Memphis Tennessee when I was 14. It was life altering. Classic.

  • Would give my life away, just for beeing at that concert.

    Ziggy is fantastic. Love him!

  • Lol a woman gets on stage and hugs him lol

I wish I had a chance to hug Bowie :)

  • I cry when I hear this...over and over again...what a great album !

  • met La Bowie twice, funny, looks right i9nto your eyes when you speak to him..and he waits until you are completely finished..he said to me "Don't be nervous,relax"..he told another fan "Do what you do best, never give up,Lennon told me that when I was recording the 'Fascination' album'...seen 'em 30 times wonderful, extremely funny gentleman..I could go on...all best !

    Gemma Inc.

  • @repelghosts you met him?? AND spoke to him?? ahhhhhh jealous!! i would cry if i was ever lucky enough to meet him :')

  • Get those side burns on Trevor Boulder!!

  • @RockNRollSuicide27

    look that smile

i would die for it - lucky me i don't have to :)

  • By suddenly announcing the break up, this is truly a rock n' roll suicide.

  • The Spiders from Mars (backup band) had NO clue this was the end of the road...they were stunned!

  • Love the show, and love the song. Love ziggy. But this youtube video has an awful audio quality.

  • I'd like to say that the constantly shaky focus and poor sound are due to this being digitized, but I remember seeing it in the theater in the late '70s and thinking that it looked like total crap even then. It's not even decent film stock for shooting under stage lights. Hell, if the Maysles' could get good images in _Gimmie Shelter_ at Madison Square Garden, much less at Altamonte, in 1970, then Pennebaker should have been able to do so at Hammersmith in '73! A wasted opportunity.

  • If the time machine is ever invented, I would know how to use it best. I would go to THAT concert!

  • Bowie is unmatched.

  • Amazing!!! I love this song

  • This made me cry.

Rocknroll suicide is just one of those songs. It gives you hope but breaks your heart.

What, oh WHAT I wouldn't give to not be born in 95, but somewhere 35 years before. WHAT I wouldn't give to see Ziggy.

  • @TMMaddict Agree one hundred percent with everything you say, though I was born in '92. Same thing!

  • Just .......Pure JOY to watch..........Pure Audible Passion x David is WONDERFUL !!

  • No honey you must go...you are gone...

xxoo is all i can give you.

    i will stay alone.

    Jeff

  • No gemma we drove by there last month and it is not called the Hammersmith anymore...all is gone my love..but all the memories...I love you baby...hope your life continues ...safe...happy as can be...and full of hope...

    Jeff

    T.O.

Hurry home love...don't let let that sunlight cast your shadow..you will make him happy...I know...he will never know I wrote this...Kiss.

    Jeff

  • this is the most beutiful song ever

  • and the same movement - sorry to repeat myself

  • the same smile as today - i love it

  • One of the best songs ever written.

  • This makes me tear up without fail everytime.

    Happy Birthday David!

  • time take a cigarrete!

  • fucking intense!

  • I would give just about anything to have been able to go to a concert with Bowie as Ziggy....sigh... He is soooo fantastic!!!

  • @bowiejareth me too!!

  • I love David so much! I just wish i were born sooner than 1995 maybe 1960 so i could have witnessed all this! David Bowie is definately a person I have to meet one day! that lucky girl ran up for a hug lol I would have been that person ;)

  • @Limejello95 I was born 1995 too, and also wish I was born 1960ish. Would have given anything to see Bowie as Ziggy!

  • @Limejello95

Now you know how it feels to be part of the real web, that girl was you.

  • I went to this concert in Hammersmith in West London

Those were fun days in London Lou Reed "Walk on The Wildside", Mott The Hoople and David Bowie

  • i was born in 1969 and i was on a Bowie concert and i didn't meet him. :) although i was walking in the city (budapest) for days looking for him... it was probably in 1991, i dont' remember exactly. some months after that he married Iman... i didn't think seriously we could meet (and we didn't) but i had to try it... :) fool girls...

  • one of my favorite songs for sure

  • To me with that "WE'LL" he was meaning him and Ziggy on the same stage.....

  • I thought that too.

  • Perfection!!!! I love him and I always will.

  • The Spiders must've been like "Whaaaaaaaa?????? WTF did he just say?!?"

  • Yes, but he said this is the last time "WE'LL" play together, and he was right. That band never played together again. Knowing Bowie as a consummate calculator, that word "we'll" was no accident.

  • This song is so special to me. I listen to it; and I don't feel alone in this world. I know that there's someone out there feeling the same way I do.

  • Hi ! I got a DVD where there's that song, exactly this one, with the little "speach" when he said "it's the last show that we'll ever do"; 5/5 ! Bowie is simply one of the greatest artist of this world ! That's what I think, and nobody can make me change what I think ! BYE !

  • i don't think thats entirely true, but its a nice idea. his band would have probably known, and ronson certain knew cus they talked about their futures, and bowie recommened slaughter on 10th avenue fro ronsons first solo album. i

m assuming many other people knew about it as well...

    ..sorry to be a spoilsport

  • So poetic....so beautiful.....so.....agh,I don't know. O_O

  • Who was the Cheeky you lad who made it on stage to give David a Hug.......?????

  • he trys to pull down the stage and they have topull him off it... hahaha wish i was alive then

  • my mum was thee. she's so proud! haha.

  • Haha the person at the end, awesome!

  • That security guard doesn't even give him a chance. He tackles him out of no where! Ha! Love it. I re-watched that part a dozen times

  • thats just his style

  • Goodbye Ziggy! Thank you!

  • I cry..

  • i agree just god

    love him

    treu love

    pure love

  • What on earth happens around 3:50? :o :S

  • My eyes filled up when I seen this. Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders were the coolest. That girl was so lucky to have the last hug from Ziggy Stardust.

  • so that was the really last time they and we can see david bowie in ziggy stardust form?

  • no bowie did the Midnight Special 1980 Floor Show after this as ziggy in August 1973 this video is in july of that year.

  • well im only 14 so obviosly i wasnt around at the time. but my dad brought me up listening to him and apreaciating, him and he is honestly the greatist artist in the universe. he's my idol! he shows that people who are different ROCK ! ! ! weirdo's rock out the hardest! and also us lefty's rule too ! ! i love this song it is one of my favorite's, the speach always kinda makes me sad... hehe. i cant explain how much he means to me or how much he rocks espeacially back the \m/

    Bowie was "IT"<3

  • bowie is the father of all alternative music.

  • bowie is my god

this song is probibly the greatest ever and the album is amazing aswell

  • I just have to ask, this is from a DVD eh? Is it in this red colour there too? Or is it youtube that makes it weird?

  • It's from Ziggy Stardust and the Spider from Mars: The movie. Should still be available on DVD. It's got red on it.

  • I don't think anyone in the audience really understood what he said there. What a perfect song to end such an classic area with.

  • I'm obsessed with this song and video.

  • This has got to be one of my most favorite Bowie songs... I'm so glad i was able to see him in concert.. it was the best thing in my life!!!

  • frickin awesome... all i can say man

  • so so so so so very hot and pretty and gorgeous!! omg. . and...i find it funny that back then state of the art video recording devices were about the same as today's cell phones are.. the audio is so tinny.. but it's so worth my bleeding ears to see his AWESOME HAIR!! <3

  • I have got this on DVD but I saw the number of views ( Views: 11,111 ) and I was tempted to change this number, LOL!!!!

Anyway, that's a favourite of mine, a brilliant live appearance, and an absolutely adorable Ziggy <3

  • that lucky bastard of a kid, hugged him just in the nick of time

  • Yeah... Wish that could've been me. Sadly my mother wasn't even 10 at the time...

  • I think he was going to hug her back until the guard came, because you seen his arm come behind up, biut it was whipped aside as the guard dragged of the girl so it kinda lingered in the air.

  • he sure knew what he ws doin with the backless evening gown look from a distance-made lotsa people measure mentality against mature artistry AND HE IS STILL THE ONE TRUE ARTIST of ALL the ROLLERS!!

  • sigh...

  • OMG am i crying again over this?! aww...bowie!!!
