1. I don't know where the universe came from - physics can only tell us so much. I'm not ruling out a higher consciousness creating me, but since we have yet to detect it, i remain agnostic on this point.
2. I am rejecting your Abrahamic God because it is so obvious that he was made up by ancient Hebrews. Being of jewish extraction myself, my insight is that we are marvellous storytellers, and this is a prime example.

the answer is very simple.. there is no scientific truth to it.... just your interpretation of a very loose statement in order to make it conveniently "fit" with modern science. Ask any impartial observer whether they can make the same link between the poetic verses of the quran, and scientific reality such as the big bang, and they would look at you strangely.... there is probably no insight or scientific knowledge in the quran that was not known at the time by other cultures.
