Cause, what are the odds, in a big district like theirs, that they would meet, be friends, both get called to fight, then both survive? i would have thought she grew on him after his mentoring her, then he might have helped her cope when she got back and then got to know her then...

I actually like the fact that Finnick's hair is unruly. Prior to his victory, he was simply a boy from District 4. Once he emerged as the victor and attain higher social regards, he devoted more efforts to his physical appearance to appease the Capitolers.
