ouch! way to ruin your audio jack! that's one of the weakest parts on the iphone. you only need to plug it in and pull it out ONCE to get it out of headphone mode.

another solution to this would also be to call your voicemail with you headphones plugged in then as soon as the call connects switch to speakerphone this should activate your speaker then remove the headphones and hang up and ur done :)

hmm mine didn't work

when I play music, there is no volume bar show and no sound. My iPod is jailbroken but that cant be the cause because I jailbroke it a long time ago. I tried rebooting and switching it off but no luck. Music only plays when earphones are plugged in.

If the inserting/ removing headphone jack doesn't work just blow in it very hard. I did the jack thing like 30 times and still no sound so I resorted to blowing into it and it worked.
