I disagree with Anthony. I don't think the film was trying to be anything more than a generic action flick. As far as generic action flicks go, it wasn't that bad. It was pretty good. And I too enjoyed that he was not fucking around like Patrice said. Neeson is a good leading man.

Meh. This is a movie that has an imdb rating almost the same as A Fistful of Dollars, and Liam Neeson is a fantastic actor.

Criticism of scripts like these could be taken and pointed at any of a similar genre, the Bourne trilogy, James Bond films, Body of Lies, the A-team, etc etc but they're fun, filmed well, and do ok.

hahaha this was hilarious, but i really enjoyed Taken, but jimmy was spot on about her running, me and my friend were laughing when we saw that in theatres. But overall It's a simple entertaining action flick.

I think Jim Norton's analysis is fucking hilarious even though I think that Liam Neeson kicked so much ass in this film. He should star in Schindler's List 2: Revenge of the Schindler. In this film he actually kills Hitler but all the Jews still die so it opens the door for a trilogy where he has to find redemption.

This was funny to me, not just for the usual bits of Patrice and Norton being generally awesome, but because I think they're both right and made the same criticisms to my friends when we saw it. i HATED that lost chick in the movie, didn't care in the least what happened to her dumbass... yet I was rooting for Liam the whole time because he was so fukken awesome, tearing through Europe just straight rippin shit up a la Bourne. Action movies don't have to be 100% believable...

When I watched this movie, I wanted them to kill the girl. I'm not saying that to try and sound like a tough guy or something. But the plot and her acting/emotions/actions all made me hate the girl. She was a spoiled, self-fish, self-centered brat and deserved what came to her.

Blew her father off for a pony! A fucking animal that only a seven year old girl fantasizes about!  She was impressed with a step father who had more money to get herself more stuff. Bitch should have died.
