no need guitar basic to play sape coz the fingering and struming is a bit difrnt then guitar. i'll try to upload a video on how to play a sape very soon,not now... bcoz my sape lft at home and now i'm far-far away from home study. to play a good sape u need to practice more and listen more on Sape music.
