  • I don't really understand how sliding is better than without sliding. Plus, the gymnasts have to contract their muscles in order to keep their balance, when we precisely want them to relax totally for that kind of stretching.

    And finally, I am wondering if this is not even dangerous, as it seems very easy to overstretch and get injured.
