  • Who is that on the right at 0:03 ?

  • Janitor seriously has one of the most beautiful voices ever.

  • I just love how scrubs show death in an almost pleasant way, it's relieving

  • Funny thing about this episode. In sweden, it airs at night. The day after I had to come to work because of a townsale. If I did not watch it that night I missed this song. It made my next day that much easier.

  • @broadwaymelody33 your comment makes a massive difference depending on your gender

  • @JonoL18 Not everyone is as much of a desperate cunt as you to whack off over youtube videos you fucken homo

  • Love Dr Cox's emotion - smashing the equipment down...

  • Remember she said when asked what death is like, "A Broadway Musical".

Beautifully rendered scene. This show showed great skill, depth and heart. It was worth the $110 on ebay to buy the whole eight seasons. Although I always end up watching clips on youtube...

  • @ytcarol lol, and me I have series 1-8 and have watched them several times but I still watch youtube clips as it's easier ! !

  • 1:29 Its Lady! Janitors Wife :D

  • @majortok I thought that was her but I wasn't entirely sure :P.

  • its a great song and wonderfully sung. but i still think colin hay's version is so much more peaceful and beutiful

  • this is one of the best, saddest and most beautiful moments in Scrubs.

  • turks voice<3

  • I realize this is one of the saddest scrubs moments ever. But I can't help but start to crack up when the janitor appears out of nowhere and starts singing to J.D. It's just incredibly funny!

  • i just love donald faison's part <3

  • This is probably my favorite Scrubs moment ever. So beautiful. <3

  • 2:35 JD says "Yeah" like Tony Almeida from 24.

  • I love the harmonies in this version. It's so sweet.

  • @Beefie11 really? You are talking about the fellowship doctor in the clip and not Nancy from the locker room right?

  • @crunch564 I'll answer for him. Yes he was talking about the fellowship lady between Ted and Kelso. She came back in season 8 to play Lady the Janitor's girlfriend that he marries in the Bahamas.

  • @Goberry the woman between Kelso and Ted is actually the woman doing the fellowship at sacred heart when they ask how long the office is going to be occupied for not naked Nancy the exhibitionist in the coed locker room... Great vid btw love it...

  • @crunch564 she also goes on to marry the janitor in the 8th season.

  • This is why Scrubs won't go down as just a funny sitcom. It's so much more, so much emotion as well and such moving storylines

  • I've listened to this probably about 50 times in the past two days since first seing it on a rerun. For what its worth, InsideCellardoors comment got marked as spam when she/he asked "who was the lady between Kelso and Ted?"

It was, if I recall, the woman that Elliot called the exhibitionist that Ted saw in the bathroom. Wasn't a spam question at all, was fair.

  • I wish these guys did atleast one single off scrubs :(.. I would love to hear Neil and Donald to do a real song xD

  • Love this show - and Carla has great voice btw :P

  • Colin Hay sings this way better.

  • I cry everytime.

  • i saw this ONCE and cried - found it on YT and cried a hundred times - so fucking beautiful, hope you all understand.... This life is NOTHING and short - god damnit - DO EVERYTHING - please =DON't WAIT for your real life to begin - because this is it :'( sorry but i lost my 15 yr old son....there was nothing left, but GOD DAMN IT i saw this video and felt STUPID for waiting for nothing ! i met a man on YT & moved to Sweden to get married-he has 3 sons-thank you god, thank U this SONG tx GOD

  • This is one of my favorite scenes. I'm still waiting for my real life to begin. Great video.

  • AS Sad as this is, it makes me happy. why ? because it taught me NOT to wait for that ship. make your life !!!!!! BECAUSE of this, i changed everything & now I am in Sweden with my soulmate. and my real life HAS actually begun :') thank you scrubs.

  • hey i never realized this but that lady that ted puts his hand on.... is that the janitors future wife?

  • @gorimpich

    HOLY SHIT YES!

  • @gorimpich yea same actress but prolly different chara

  • oh god... the JD moment at the end made tear up.... i didnt expect that... even though Cox is upset the first thing he asks is if JD is going to be ok...

  • omg this episode made me cry its so true and sad :'(

  • Seasons 1-4 were gold. Some of the best stuff on television.

  • This is the best Scrubs scene ever.

  • Wow this actually made me cry.

  • Very emotional and sad scene, while so beautiful at the same time. Watched it multiple times in a row now, I am just being overwhelmed.

  • A definitely memoriable from Scrubs. And the song is performed great as well.

  • 1:50 .. Is that "Lady" over her left shoulder? (i'm not gonna say why 2lady" is cos i don't wanna ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet" :)

  • most likely same actress, different character. Lady wasn't a doctor.

  • That was indeed the same actress, just as a "Pre-Lady." character.

  • Hands down one of the best and most memorable scenes in the entire series. Made me cry and smile at the same time.

  • episode 213 or season 2 ep 13?

  • season 2 episode 13.

  • dis best 1... i cryed so hard when the lady red dress past away.. she ve most beatiful voice.... so did all the actors!!!

  • Jill Tracy, she's a singer.

  • o thank u

  • 1:40 - 1:46 my favourite part

  • i love how the janitor makes JD jump at 1:10.

he is actualy a good singer lol

  • i just cried so hard

  • god i love this scene so much

  • This is my favorite scene from scrubs, even though it is sad it also make you think that maybe this life isn't the end.

  • LOOK! ITS LADY!!!

  • i know that is so weird

  • this scene the one where ben dies and the one where cox loses 3 patients are 2 of the saddest scenes Ive seen. I cant watch these scenes without tears

  • this scene always makes me cry!! ; (

  • this gives me goosebumps every time. thats what i love about this show though. Its funny but it can still be serious though. awesome.

  • I can never watch this scene without a steady stream of tears. This hits a few raw nerves I still have about my mother's death, very similar circunstances. Oh well, the show must go on and thank God for Scrubs, one the best shows of the last 20 years.

  • @scabbyrock your mother sang in a musical scene on a comedy show after she died as well?

  • Thanks a lot, beautiful singing lady. Now I have to find another Kleenex box.

  • @broadwaymelody33 me too, but I need the Kleenex so that I can jack off thinking about that lady in red

  • @broadwaymelody33 me too I cant watch this without crying

  • one of the doctors in this clip looks like lady from the current episodes

  • according to imdb, its the same actress.

  • what does the janitor say? i cn't understand him!

  • and you say be still my love

  • one of the best episodes of any show i've ever seen!

  • whats the epsidoe called?

  • My Philosophy Season 2 Episode 13

  • One of the great things about this show is that even though it's extremely funny, they handle the serious moments with great care, and do it extremely well. This scene is a great example.

  • I love the part where the Janitor comes in. He sings pretty good.. even if it's only a few words.

  • yeah the janitor has a great voice! i think carla sings really good too, and turk :)

  • Agreed, I love the Janitor's voice. He was great in "My Musical", too.

  • wow, his cpr does look fake O_o but hey, still a great moment...

i love how dr. cox can be so caring sometimes...

  • i noticed how fake the CPR looked too LOL!

  • Well, I heard somewhere that no one on TV does CPR properly because if its done right and with enough force to be effective, people tend to suffer broken ribs and other sucky things.

  • Exactly.

  • Colin Hay is a good song writer but the timbre of his voice doesn't do it for me. Any person from the Scrubs cast singing this song woulda been better

  • Scenes like that are what makes Scrub extraordinary. It's funny, feels a bit absurd but at the same time is so touching, sad... almost poetic. Few TV shows ever achieve that.

  • Haha! Janitor cracks me up in this one... uhm, he always does.

  • legatoblue217 holy shit your right lol

  • Love it!

  • Where can i get this song?

    x

  • You can find the song on Colin Hay's album Going Somewhere.

  • unfortunately this version is WAY better than the Colin hay version.

  • I dunno about that. I definitely like the Colin Hay version. The biggest thing this version has going for it is a group of people singing it.

  • This is the first bit on Scrubs I saw. It was several years ago, and it has stuck with me since. Its deffinitely my favourite moment.

  • so glad i found this song, just saw it for the first time afew weeks agao and was dying to find it!!

  • This is a totally amazing moment for tv. But I can't help but notice how fake Dr. Cox's CPR looks.

  • That's why she died.

  • I think you're right. I don't think he was really doing CPR at all. I don't even think she was really dead. It's almost like they were all....... ACTING!

  • win srogers500!

  • Although this is a very sad scene it is one of my all time favorites, can some one please tell me the air date and name of this episode, I've looked up "my perspective" and it doesn't match. Even the janitor sounds great in this song!

  • partial error on my part

season 2, episode 13, My Philosophy

    aired on January 16, 2003

  • I can't stop listening to this song - it's so beautiful! ^_^

  • turk has a fantastic voice

  • This scene made me cry. It's so unbelievably beautiful. It's pretty amazing that a comedy show can pull of dramatic moments of this caliber so effortlessly.

Also, that woman has a beautiful voice.

  • Top 5 Scrubs moment easily

  • carla has such a good voice (i just watched this on tv and had to find the song)

    scrubs=awesomeness!!

  • This Scene Is so Awesome.

  • is there a better show i cant belive its coming to an end :( :( :(

  • It was but they've decided to bring it back but zach braff isnt gonna be regular anymore (i think he's gonna be in the first 6 episodes)

  • one of the many reasons why scrubs was one of the most underated shows ever.

    along with firefly

  • scrubs= real comedy

  • Aw, this is so sad!

  • Scrubs is a good funny show but what makes it great is the serious dramatic scenes like this

  • this scene makes me cryy.

    I love Scrubs.

  • Can you please put in that scene where JD wears an enourmous helmet to protect his hair...thank you

  • 'its not a helmet, its a Hair-met' lol

  • i love this scene I mean sure it's not funny but it's great

  • Scrubs best show ever.that is all

  • defiantly agreed

  • hell ya! Scrubs is the best
