Hey man, need some help please. So I got my mk to connect to Reason. How can I play my korg sounds? I don't want it to play thor sythns... is this possible?
can you save a thor syth on the korg and play that without being connected the computer??? say if you wanna play live somewhere, you could have the reason sythns saved in your korg library, is that possible?
@Kod3Music Sorry that's not possible in this case I was just using the korg as a slave to the Thor soft - You could save korg settings that sound simliar to the Thor and build up your own patch's though.

Hey bro? what kind of midi interface are you using? i want to buy a M-audio Uno interface, but i don't know if it would work fine... because i bought one of those cheap interfaces that are similar to the m-audio uno and it is crappy, what do you think?
Oh and sorry about my english if said something wrong, but i'm a Mexican, hehe.
@ConejoChannel I've got to say the M-Audio Uno does it for me that's what I'm using in this video , with midi there's not really good or bad to some degree Uno should support all and its cheap. I know it works so I'd go for that
decide what controls do what and label them your self, or for around $100 you can get a USB keyboard from M-audio that is specifically designed for USB midi and you wont have to mess with complicated stuff
ahhh yes, akai, designs things for ableton, but yeah, i have an m-audio oxygen that has like 12 or 16 assignable knobs, but only 8 of them are actually assignable with reason
oh, my knobs aren't labeled at all though, being my keyboard is only a control and has no sound bank on it, so to me, i guess my knobs are in order lol
lol @ ur knobs^^ btw whit the akaimpk i can control all the knobs faders and buttons whitout using the mouse but i would like to "touch" my korg more often :)
did u double check your midi sends and recieve channels are set properly on the micrkorg and verify that reason/preferences/midi/advanc ed midi/remote control...set to microkorg's midi send channel?
hello man! I have a microkorg, a midi interface but I can't control Reason with him... Doesn't reconize... can u help me? How do you set reason???! tks!
Hey, for best result I think you need a firewire (like M-audio firewire 410 or other) it will improve the performance of the midi device, when you have that set up, go to reason preferences > keyboards and control surfaces, then click auto detect surfaces. that should do it for ya...
did u double check your midi sends and recieve channels are set properly on the micrkorg and verify that reason/preferences/midi/advanced midi/remote control...set to microkorg's midi send channel?
hello, my name is daniele.i play the microKorg and use the program reason many years but I do not know how together .tu how you doing?sorry for the language but I'm italian.Bye bye
I've just mapped the keys on the korg to a 8 step seqeuncer so when I hit say 2 keys on the korg it plays the 2 notes from the step sequencer. I've also mapped the modulation wheel to the frequencey dial of another melody so i can fade it in and out.
Afraid not, sorry I didn't explain it to well in my description I am just using all the virtual synthesizers and drum racks in Reason. Im only using the Microkorg to control a step sequencer in reason.

This sounds reeeeaaally smooth and hot. I love it, the sound is top of the line in mK demos around here. All the tones are microkorg, eh?
The drums, are they Reason stuff?
