  • Three lovely burmese cats, such a loving and tolerant breed.

  • my cat does this to my earlobes. lol

  • There is nothing wrong with this kitty. All cats can "revert" to a kitten stage of kneading and nursing when they are feeling very warm, comfortable, and safe. It has nothing to do with insecurity, inadequate mothering, or anything else.

  • haha kinda creepy

  • What? What's the big deal? I still do the same thing to my mom.

  • eeew my burmese does that as well

  • Sweethearts!!

  • I agree that maybe she was weaned too early. I've heard that Burmese should stay with their mothers a little longer than other cats, maybe that's the same for all Orientals. I wasn't able to collect my kitten (now fully grown) until he was about 12 weeks old.

  • A friend of mine had a cat named 'Misi'. He suckled everything/one what/who had a nipple -like thing. (So there was after a time no cat on the lap, no shirts off in the summer - see what I mean?)

Moving him in a house with a bigger yard and fewer masters cured him. :) Don't ask, dunno why.

  • My cat, Chanel, does that to my older cat as well. We think it's because she weened herself off of her mother's milk too soon. She wanted to eat her mums food when she was a baby, before we got her. :S

  • Aw how cute :) I have a lilac burmese! He looks right small and scrawny in comparison to yours :)

  • as long as the cat stays with mama cat no matter how old he/she get it will continue...

  • My cat used to try to do that to my earlobe when I first bought him home?! Gross! I got him a small sheepskin rug and he uses that now.... That's his blanky and its the only place he is allowed to do it. I don't see any problem with it, it just relaxes them. Maybe you should try to get a sheepskin to give the other cat a rest.

  • i have a cat that looks like the gray one.

  • how lovely!

  • How old was the cat when you got it?

  • We picked her out of the litter at 5 weeks and took her home at 10 weeks. She had a great mother and the litter size was 8 healthy kittens. The old lilac girl was 19 years old when the photo was taken. We finally had to put that one down with renal failure that was no longer responding to medication. The chocolate sucker, Maedel, does not do this suckling and kneading, to the other cat, a 9 year old Brown burmese even though they sleep wrapped together

  • He's giving him a love bite...

  • Hah hah, what a mama's boy.

  • My Burmese X used to do the same with a sheep-skin rug & woolen jumpers :D

  • ha-haaaa~! My abyssinian used to do that too...

    to us o.O

It'd be so stinkin' cute if his breath didn't stink so bad! :P

  • Have his teeth and gums checked by the vet. He probably has tarter or plaque.

  • when i was a kid, we adopted a kitty who would constantly suckle on my shirt or blanket whenever she cuddled me. She developed leukemia before she got a chance to grow out of it. poor thing, my first pet to die.

  • ooh!! i knew a neighbour s cat like that too - with her, it was because she was separated fromthe mother too early, so it s probably a "Mother's complex" remaining.

  • @AmandaFace1981 How the HELL would a cat get leukemia, very unlikely unless she was affected by nukes or x-rays or anything that uses nuclear power.

  • @mikeshinoda943 Feline leukemia is an incurable and potentially fatal retrovirus that affects thousands of cats every year. You obviously have a computer and internet access; maybe do some research before you make another insensitive and ill-informed comment.

  • @mikeshinoda943 idiot... you need to get some education on you...

  • This Cat has so much patience. Hope the Kitten grows out of it! Amazing how Burmese cats love a lap! :o)

  • my chocolate torusshell burmese kitten did that for the fist year we had her. it was so cute. it was anoyingly loud

  • my best friend has an Abyssinian who sucks her tail. it's really cute. and he just got a burmese kitten who is v.v clumsy and hilarious, what beautiful animals!

  • From Warren, the owner.....Unfortunately the Old Lilac girl (Sylphide) has passed on at 19 years - a great innings for a Burmese. The little one (Madel) is now 3 and doesn't suckle the middle one (Coco) who is 7 years old. For info, the little one was left with the mum, as was all the litter, for 10 weeks - normal for Burmese I believe.

  • I guess it's just like people. Some cats are more unsecured than others.

  • One of my burmese used to do this too and was not taken away too early from his mother. It usually means a sign of pleasure and contentment.

  • my goodness!!!!this is unbelievably cute!!

  • yea sure a tiger

  • i had a cream tiger that used to do that to my ear he got run over at 8 months old but he did that shit until the day he died

  • my man does that to me... ;-)

dont be fooled buy my screen name. im a girl

  • My big sister's cat Loki does that.

  • aww...how cute!

  • One of my burmese does this to my other burmese too! He was taken from his mother early due to her ill health.

  • Typical sign, of a cat that has been removed too soon from the mother.

  • I wish the clip were longer though..

  • Great video quality and so cute and sweet to see!

  • What have you been feeding your 18 yr old cat?

  • Aww! My kitten (about 5 months old) does the same thing, but to my dog! It's hilarious!

  • Aw! The white kitty is so patient!

  • so cute!
