Slade identity is Slade wilson. His original name is deathstroke but the creators thought the name was not right for a kid show. Also slade son is Jericho the guy who goes in people bodies.

But to directly answer you, his name really is Slade, Slade Wilson to be exact. His original criminal alter-ego (in the original comics) was Deathstroke but that was written out of the show.

Interesting thing, he actually had three children I believe and one of the them was featured in season 5 (guess who :)

While I don't think they were intent on making the romance element part of the Slade/Terra dynamic (the cartoon version is a way better person than the comics version) the concept would be interesting.

In some cases, she's utter evil as a two-faced bitch & in others, you almost--key word, almost--feel sorry for the little geomancer, because though she knows of what she's getting into, you still have that glimmer of hope for her before her betrayal dashes it all to pieces. Yes, because of TV standards & the demographical focus audience being children, the romance is underplayed througn subtle comments & actions, but hints at it may still be present.
