Samsung's TV's are overpriced. Really, you can't get a nice streaming experience with Samsung's software. It's is so counter-intuitive, It shouldn't even be called smart. You should get a Mac with Boxee installed or a dedicated Boxee Box, or get a Roku player, or an Apple TV. Since you seem to need Skype, get a Mac Mini with Boxee installed, and get a webcam and hook it on top of the TV and use Skype from there.

@weinerschnitzelboy its not overpriced. if u actually knew anything about tvs you would know samsung 8000 series have premium panels and its led. Its not the "smart" software or "3D" thats making it expensive.

@j1u0719 I meant the software is horrible for any Smart TV. They are always sluggish. I was just merely recommending getting a non-smart TV, and a TV without 3D, because seriously, 3D is just a headache inducing gimmick. Not to mention, although 3D makes things "pop out" they always just look like flat moving/floating cardboard against a still background.

@j1u0719 Facepalm. I never said Samsung's panels suck, I'm just saying that the software sucks, and 3D is an expensive gimmick. The panels are perfectly fine, but you need different panels if you want a 3D picture, making it up to nearly 1000 dollars more expensive. I was just recommending a dedicated streaming solution, and a 2D TV without the streaming option.

I have that TV. The keyboard on the remote is terrible to type on the internet. It keeps on disconnecting from the TV and it's a pain in the ass to reconnect it every 2 minutes. The internet also takes a while to load up web pages. Tell me if you end up having the same issues.

im watching the Top Gear india special right now lol, btw whats with all the people hating on Blista? first of all he is not spoilt he obviously states that he pays for all his tech himslef cuz of his job, and to be honest all you need is a decent job to get lots of cool tech, its just people have other priorities but if your young like me and had a normal job (nothing fancy) you could get yourself all the damn tech you wanted!> stop the hating.

A keyboard for a TV? You're kidding me... these people do realise that TV's are generally made for group use right? Not just a single person using it. It'd piss me off something rotten if my sister were to update her Facebook or something in the middle of Top Gear!

These kind of things are made for geeks like us, not the rest of the world. They'll realise that when people buy them and don't actually use them, but they'll claim it's a massive success cos people buy them (and can't get without)!
