At 3:30 that big white hangar looking building is where they repair F/A-18s and F/A-18 super hornets as well as the blue angels also and they also make new parts for the blue angels F/A-18s as well
I know that view well! Pro's Nest mid 80's...looks like runway 9...on a good day there would be 5 P3's in the bounce pattern...taxi to the line via the washrack approved!!
Pitchlock -- man does that ever bring back memories -- thanks for posting.
Mosstrooper7 is right -- PATRON 30 "Pro's Nest" is the RAG...er, FRS (for you youngsters), and my old lot in PATRON 45 were the Pelicans. The squadron insignia for VP30 is an old eagle carrying a younger eaglet in its talons.
No there is not a hard number for banking on a take off. Usually we will bank between 20 and 25 degrees. But you always fly what you need to set up your pattern work. Always adjusting and flying the plane and not letting the plane fly you.
Just to clear the record. I am not an AW. I am a Flight Engineer (FE). We just happend to have 7 FE's on board so we all couldn't be in the Flight Station so I had fun with the camera.
Pretty cool. I've lived in Orange Park most of my life, and the area looks totally different from just a few hundred feet above the trees. I didn't recognize anything until I saw Hangar 1000.
