Does anyone else think that attenuators sound better on non master volume amps ,like a jtm45.a 1987 50watt, a SLP100 watt non master vol amps ??? well do they sound better than a jcm, or a jvm, a dsl ?all master vol amps and using the master on the amp?
@gsoldi I just prefer an attenuator... no reason... And actually I have a Matamp King Street with an amazing Classic British Sound ! It's my favorite. ;)
Sorry for making so many questions but I'm thinking of buying this amp and not many people have it. First of all, how loud is it? I just sold my Orange Rocker 30 because it was too loud, would this amp be too loud to get a good tone at house levels? Does it sound good at all volumes? How well does it take pedals? How well does it respond to the volume knob? I've heard that this model sound a bit "dry", I can't hear that from the video so what's your opinion?
@gsoldi It's loud enough for medium/large stage (my experience) ! I always used it with an attenuator. This amp was made for crunch. Crank it ! sound great with pedals. I love it.
@diminishedlogic Yes ! The attenuator is fully loaded !! This amp is enough louder for live. I always use it with the Weber attenuator for home, practice and live !
Nice vintage classic tone. Would you say this video is a good representation of what it sounds live? With the volume fully cranked AND with a boost pedal (I have the EH LPB-1), do you think you can get a gainier modern rock tone? I want to be able to do classic and modern in one amp. Please post a vid of this if you can. Thanks
Out of all the Ceriatone vids I watched you have the tone I'm looking for! Do you have the amp cranked full going through the attenuator? How do you like the attenuator with this amp? What tubes are you using? Are there any mods made or is it stock? Absolutely awesome
Joh, put some more vids up. If they all sound as good as this one I'll defintely be getting this amp. Do both channels sound the same tone wise? Have you tried jumpering them together?
Hey JohStro! How about putting up another vid of your awesome sounding amp, showing what it sounds like from all the inputs, and then bridged too. Sorry for the nagging! but yer amp just sounds so damn cool! Hi, and you certainly got good taste in gear! Keep'r rockin my man!
awesome tone, man. i'm thinking of buying one, how much does thing thing weigh in at?

Also, why did you prefer a attenuator over the Ceriatone Power Scale Mod? Finally, what's your favorite amp for Blues and Classic Rock?
Again, sorry for so many questions. Thanks!!

Can you sculpt the EQ fairly well with the tone knob?

@GuitarZephyr It's very basic ! Plug and play... but yes it's easy to have a good sound.

@pedecamp Hi ! Tks for your comment !
- Yes, the amp is fully cranked through the attenuator !
- It's my first attenuator and it's a very very good quality/price machine ! I use it in practice and show ! Sound great !
- JJ tubes
- No mods ! Stock Ceriatone !
I would like to put a new video with my new cab (Marshall 1960AX with GreenBack)...

Now, I always play my Ceriatone with the channels jumped ! A litlle bit more gain and more bass frequencies.
With Greenback speakers, The sound is better for classic rock. New video soon...
