Hi deeannpaul, I was put on oxygen shortly before I started pushing. They said my daughter was starting to show a little bit of stress so having more oxygen in my bloodstream would help. I was able to remove it during pushing (i think) but definitely by the time she was out.
the midwife stayed with me the whole time when i had my first and i didnt have any drugs after a 30 hour labor, god its not fair - this time im gettin an epidural!

Alot women needs oxygen. my nurse say the women that gets epidural will need it more than the ones that go drugs free.
