  • she actually was the first japenese women to get an individual medal in 65 years (bronze AA was her first and this is her second)

  • 47 years actually. Tsurumi is the first to get silver as well as two individual medals. Keiko Ikeda got the team bronze and balance beam bronze at the 1962 Worlds.

    Actually, Japan has has a silver on UB at the 1966 World Championships. Japan went 2-3 there.

  • The BBC commentates always have something nice to say I was watching NBC and they are much more mean spirited.

  • @theurbansoul honestly I wish i could just find a way to watch the British commentary when these events come on. I will be travelling to England around the time of the net olympics and damned if i dont get in to see one of the gymnastics competitions you bet your bippy I will be watching it on television there!

  • amazing routine,i remember watching this on tv,was gonna go to london and watch it but it cost £40(i think) for a ticket for 1 day!!!

  • i went to the qualifiers, it only cost me £22 for front block seats - bargain :D
