This is perfect. Our store sales goal for "jump into January" is 300% and if we don't have 5 DDA appointments a day scheduled for the first three days of January, we have to stay till 7:30 making phone calls. I call bullshit!

In my branch, the only people who do any real work are the tellers and the Assistant Manager. We open the branch, we close the branch, we fucking do everything. We're the ones sending customers to the platform while the manager sits on the phone and makes personal calls, even when you're in there trying to ask him a question.
This should be required viewing for any branch manager, district/regional manager, or corporate exec in any bank. DO SOME FUCKING WORK, ASSHOLES!!!!
Remember that when managers work hard, which I used to do for about 8 months when I was a manager, and the district managers don't promote them. That's the real issue. If the only incentive you have is to not have the Market Manager in your bank acting like she's a good business person, when everybody knows she's an idiot and only has the job because she's been there 43 years or nobs the Area Manager, you pretty much get to the point where you get a "family emergency" when the MM comes around.

So true! Now tellers are the funding/profile police AND have to deal with irate customers who don't know how to balance their checkbooks. FYI some stores purposely power down their ATMs so customers HAVE no choice but to walk into the lobby.
