What is really sad is that I currently own a 1990 Geo Metro that gets 28-40mpg depending on how you drive. Mine is worse looking than the one destroyed here. The 3 cylinder motor really is a trooper and the manual shifter is smooth.

Those 3 cylinder engine always seem to last longer than anything else on the car. My '97 metro has 280K on the odometer and even though it feels as if the wheels are about to burst off, I can still do 55mph in 2nd gear all day and it just never dies!!!
